Chapter 1: At the hotel bar after 11p.m.
Our respondents state over and over that alcohol plays a major factor in these meetings, introductions and perhaps subsequent lack of judgment.
The hotel bar, often with visiting married male traveling executives with or without their wedding bands, tends to be a common meeting place.
#1: I was away from the office for four days. I had a meeting in Atlanta. I was staying at the Four Seasons Atlanta. I went down to the bar each evening after 10 o'clock to mingle. I was extremely alone in my room.
One evening I saw a 48-ish year-old gentleman without a ring on his finger. After a few drinks he invited me to his room. We had amazing sex. I got his cell number. I got his business card. I Googled him. His pic came up in a real estate article about him and his wife buying foreclosures in Miami. Turns out he's a heart surgeon who was keynote speaker at a cardiology conference in Atlanta. Who knew? Have I continued to correspond with him? Yes. Have we met up since then? Yes. Will I ever break up with him? Not likely. If he ever left his wife would I ever pursue him? Definitely.

#2: In Las Vegas, in particular, with a convention virtually every single day, the late night bar scene is packed with married folks looking to get naughty. Do I have time to ask who is single, divorced, separated or engaged? Too much trouble and not realistic. I'm sure I've hooked up with several married men in Vegas unknowingly and at least one knowingly. It didn't last long after the convention because I knew he had a wife and kids at home.

#3: I travel for business quite often and I would venture to say that on any given night, at any late night bar, there's at least one married man not wearing his wedding band. I have brothers and they've admitted that to me. I try my best to Google the name if I get a business card but that'll only get you so far. If he doesn't care enough to honor his vows, why should I care?

#4: There have been instances at bar/restaurants where husbands have tried to give me their phone numbers while their wives
