About this ebook

“Edgy, sexy, endlessly exciting, Lisa Marie Rice never disappoints!”—New York Times bestselling author Shannon McKenna

The third book in author Lisa Marie Rice’s steamy Protectors series—stories of passion, devotion, and serious danger featuring former Special Ops heroes called upon to leap into the flames once more to save the women they love—Nightfire combines action and intense sensuality in ways few romantic suspense novels ever have. The story of a woman desperate to fill in missing pieces of her troubled past and the sexy former Marine Force Recon operative who must protect her from the Russian mob, Nightfire is romantic, erotic, non-stop excitement. If you like the novels of Lora Leigh and Lori Foster, you’re going to love Lisa Marie Rice. Cosmopolitan magazine has already named Rice’s previous books “Red Hot Reads”—but nothing is hotter than Nightfire!

A great read. It was exactly what I had hoped it would be and more. In my opinion anyone who likes this genre should take time to read this book. I fully recommend it to everyone.

For the record, I am not a big fan of romantic suspense. I read quite a bit of it years ago and got burned out. But the author has been talked up by some friends, and I thought I'd give her a try. :)

I ended up liking the book quite a bit :) I'll definitely check out her other books as well.

I'm a die-hard Rice fan and will read every book she publishes. She could write all of her books over again, with slightly different characters, and I would love it - as long as it wasn't this one. I enjoyed this story, but it was not a typical Rice story. They had the instant "love", but then they were apart for 6 months! What?!? They were best friends during that time, so we're told, but we never got to see it. We never really got to see them spend any time together. There was almost no dialogue between the two of them. Then there was the major WTF moment for me. He finally gets to be with her because the Russians attack her. The first thing he does is leave her within 24 hours to get more info. But he doesn't leave her under anybody's protection. No!! He leaves her alone! That never happens in a Rice book with good reason!. I still enjoyed the story, and it was an easy read. Not sure it was worth $10, and don't see myself reading it over again even though I have read every other one of her stories at least twice.
