Passion
Painted Roses
A rose need not be beautiful,
she simply is. She has the sensuality
of elegance and subtle curiosity.
Her petals are vulgar and romantic
as she envelops the sensual
centre of the eye. Her thorns are
exotic and raw like the emotions
that she draws from the crowd.
But a painted rose is different — her
petals are unique. She is quirky and
does not fit the mould; her curves
and twirls are meant for an
alternative God — one who loves
to cast doubt on human thoughts.
Kissed Her Cheek
She awoke in the
morning as the
birds began to sing.
A shard of light
was scattered by the
window pane as she
leaned over to
whisper 'I love you'.
There was no awkward
silence. Last night
was the first time we
had met. I dared not
touch her body,
or look at her
lustfully as
she lay in my bed,
naked and forlorn.
So I tenderly put
my hand in her
