Chapter 1

Katie sat in her office cubicle staring at her monitor. It was late on a Friday afternoon and she was almost finished with the graphics she’d been working on. She pondered staying late and finishing or going home to another boring night of TV. Maybe she should call Freddie, her sometimes friend with sometimes benefits and invite him over for wine and sex. She glanced at her phone just as her best friend Bibi rushed in and sat down.

Have you seen the new IT guy they just hired? He’s an absolute hunk.

Katie laughed and shook her head. I’ve been too busy.

Bibi sighed and brushed back a strand of her curly brunette hair. If I weren’t such a dyke, I’d be all over him in a second. He’s gorgeous.
