About this ebook
Humor abounds as life takes form for Linda, growing up with five siblings and a widowed mother, beginning in Connecticut and traveling South to Florida. Linda's ambitions move her along life's path into her nursing career. Humorous stories unfold from eavesdropping on the hooker next door to the short lived revelation that she was proud to be a member of the (SOS) Sisters of the Spinsterhood. As Linda's hilarious journey continues she takes us through a long courtship with an unsuspecting doctor who in his wisdom is able to rescue Linda as well as himself, freeing her from the SOS. She ends the book when at age 42, they are blessed with a miracle, a child.
L. A. Little-Freed
Early days of childhood spent on the family farm in Connecticut with five siblings was where my fond memories began. As a preteen we were uprooted and spirited to Miami Florida and from there to St. Augustine and then Ocala. My life has been an adventure from beginning until present. Not a single moment in time would I change from jumping in cow patties as a yound child to the marriage of my loving husband. Once retired, Martin, myself and our son moved to a place that over the years became so dear to me, Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Surrounded by the beauty of the Mountains is where I put pencil to paper and relive the love and laughter, the adventures and journey's that make up this wonderful path I have been so blessed to travel along.
