About this ebook
In “The Advent of Divine Justice”, a book written as back as in 1938, Shoghi Effendi – a great scholar and Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith – expressed his concerns about a “world dimmed by the steadily dying-out light of religion, heaving with the explosive forces of a blind and triumphant nationalism; scorched with the fires of pitiless persecution, whether racial or religious; deluded by the false theories and doctrines that threaten to supplant the worship of God and the sanctification of His laws; enervated by a rampant and brutal materialism; disintegrating through the corrosive influence of moral and spiritual decadence ....”.
Even today, after an elapse of many eventful decades, there is hardly any change in this gloomy scenario. Generation after generation is passing through an age which is marked by its great scientific advancement, technical and intellectual empowerment, and yet the world is afflicted with many, many great problems of our time the root of which is to be found in nothing but our moral and spiritual depreciation. Unfortunately, children are the worst sufferers of this anarchy and yet, as a matter of hope, the most easily rectifiable citizens of this ungodly world. This book, explaining the divine concepts for living treasured in “The Hidden Words” of Baha’u’llah – the Messenger of God for this age – guides children and junior youths how best to attain the true delight and perfection in their individual lives by following the basic divine principles.

PREFACE
In today’s context where there is a great need for the enhancement of human character which will create more honest and upright citizens of the country, Suniti Chandra Mishra has undertaken a great service in using the beautiful and instructive writings of Baha’u’llah, the Prophet of the Baha’i Faith, for this purpose.
Children, at a young age, are receptive to learning the importance of making the right moral choices. The Hidden Words of Baha’u’llah are such gems of guidance which will remain with the young people even as they grow into adults.
Parents and schools would do well to see the benefits their children and students would derive in being trained in the eternal guidance existing in these divine teachings in the Hidden Words of Baha’u’llah.

Note to Parents and Teachers Using this Book
In The Advent of Divine Justice
, a book written as back as in 1938, Shoghi Effendi, a great scholar and Guardian of the Bahá’í Faith, expressed his concern over a world dimmed by the steadily dying-out light of religion, heavingwith the explosive forces of a blind and triumphant nationalism; scorched with the fires of pitiless persecution, whether racial or religious; deluded by the false theories and doctrines that threaten to supplant the worship of God and the sanctification of His laws; enervated by a rampant and brutal materialism; disintegrating through the corrosive influence of moral and spiritual decadence ….
.
Even today, after an elapse of many eventful decades, there is hardly any change in this gloomy scenario. Generation after generation is passing through an age which is marked by great scientific advancement, technical and intellectual empowerment; and yet the world is afflicted with many great problems of our time the root of which is to be found in nothing but in our moral and spiritual depreciation.
Unfortunately, children are the worst sufferers of this ethical anarchy and yet, as a matter of hope, the most easily rectifiable citizens of this ungodly world. They are inheriting imperfect and often dogmatically biased teachings from their elders who are themselves lost in a labyrinth of chaotic values. Our children are being subtly attacked and led to unnoticed perversions by the influential forces of media, cinema, internet, television, social networks and so on. The impact is so implicit that we often do not even understand where they are leading to – the impacts which are using them as easy targets and pressing on their tender minds impressions of uncontrolled open- ness, detrimental values and materialist attitudes.
Very few people today stop to think where this improperly trained generation will ultimately go. They seldom think that in every age God has sent His chosen Messenger to impart the right teaching to His children. They forget that true knowledge does not come from illustrated books of general knowledge, sciences or fantasies; or from the store-houses of great intellectuals, scientists, authors and leaders of thought – since all of them are humans, great but imperfect.
This book is a humble effort to rear the children in the right direction, improve their moral and spiritual life, teach them about the meaning and purpose of life, and imbibe in their hearts the love of God and a clear understanding of His expectations from children and mankind. This book is based on The Hidden Words
of Bahá’u’lláh (1817-1892), the Prophet Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, and a Figure elegantly impressive and consummate about Whom Leo Tolstoy wrote: We spend our lives trying to unlock the mystery of the universe, but there was a Turkish Prisoner, Bahá’u’lláh, who had the key!
The Hidden Words
was revealed by Bahá’u’lláh in Baghdad around 1858 and nothing can introduce its significance more aptly than in the words of Bahá’u’lláh Himself: This is that which hath descended from the realm of glory, uttered by thetongue of power and might, and revealed unto the Prophets of old. We have taken the inner essence thereof and clothed it in the garment of brevity…
As the name suggests, The Hidden Words
contains profound meanings in each verse. This beautiful book is a complete guide in one’s spiritual journey to God and since no one can take up this journey without acquiring perfection; this is a book which will help children to be perfect human beings.
