A Life with Auditory Processing Disorder
()
About this ebook
ADP is a disorder not everyone is familiar with. Children often have difficulty with reading or writing, but are never tested for Auditory Processing Disorder.
This book will help you understand and identify APD. My son has APD and I know if you have more knowledge about APD you will understand your child better.
About 7% of school children have some sort of auditory processing problems. If your child's speech, language, reading, writing or listening skills are a concern to you then your child could have some sort of auditory processing problem.
If your child has a speech delay, not responding when talked to, easily distracted, have problems following instructions, often say 'what' or 'huh', then you should read this book. APD is often misdiagnosed.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Author of ‘Auditory Processing Disorder: My Boy’s Story’ and various other ebooks.
I am the mother of 3 beautiful children. My second child has Auditory Processing Disorder. Having a child with Auditory Processing Disorder is challenging. It can be very frustrating at times. At some stage I thought to myself it was too difficult and too much stress for me to handle, but then I realized how difficult it must be for my son who can’t express his feelings easily, he is the one suffering all day. All he needs is someone who will understand and support him. The more you learn about Auditory Processing Disorder, the easier it is to put yourself in your child’s shoes and understand what your child is going through.
