About this ebook
The Prajna Paramita Hrdaya Sutra is the core of The Mahaprajna Paramita Sutra in six hundred scrolls. Its teaching is the teaching of supramundane Voidness as the only true existence, the true Void being mysteriously concealed in the existing. Therefore, one might say the substance of this sutra is the Voidness of all dharmas; and non-obtaining is the purpose.

The Young Men's Buddhist Association (YMBA), together with the Sutra Translation Committee of the US and Canada, were founded by Venerable Master Lok To in 1974. The name YMBA was adopted as a parallel to the Young Men's Christian Association and carries no gender connotation. The organization occupies several town houses in the Bronx. Under the guidance of Master Lok To, it provides a focal point for people to study and practice the Dharma. If you are interested in YMBA, please send an e-mail to ymba@ymba.org. The main function of the Sutra Translation Committee is to translate classical Chinese Buddhism works, so that the Buddhadharma may take root in English-speaking areas. To date, the Committee has published about thirty books which are distributed without charge to the community. This website is created to offer these books via the Internet. Future publications of the Committee will be added here. See works by the Committee. All books published by YMBA are free to distribute. Resale is not permitted; violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
