    I like to refer to Ballston Spa as being history-laden. Perhaps you are a visitor here, or perhaps you are a resident, curious to know more about the buildings you pass by every day. In either case, I hope you enjoy your walk around the village, and that this book will bring you a fuller understanding of its history and charm.

    I have mostly ignored architectural features in this book, preferring to focus on entertaining historical points about the places and people described on this walk.
