There are many discussions on the ethics issue. The research focuses on several authors’ versions of the ethics issue. Aristotle offers one side of the ethics issue. The research includes Plato’s side to the same ethics topic. The study includes the Confucius version of the ethics sphere. Similarly, the research includes the different religions’ discussion of what is ethically right or wrong. Additionally, the ethics discussion incorporates the ethics that bind the professionals. This EBook study includes the popular legalistic ethics prevailing in our society today.
Value Ethics
Socrates espoused that knowledge contributes to compliance with ethical standards. A person must be taught the rudiments of doing what is ethically required in each situation. Consequently, ignorance of what is right or wrong will increase the tendency for the individuals to commit unethical or unwarranted actions or inactions. Socrates insists that the normal tendency for the average individual is to do what is ethically required. People have the normal desire to tow the line
during his or her daily activities.

Consequently, philosopher Socrates observed that the some criminals confessed that they were ignorant of the law, statute, regulation, or policy when he or she committed the unethical act. However, current society’s long list of laws adheres strictly to the policy of ignorance of the law excuses no one
. The same philosopher insists that the criminals never intended to break the laws, policies, regulations or statutes. It only happened that the criminal’s ignorance as what is right and what is wrong was a high barrier to towards reduced crime rates.

Ethical standards can also include the freedom to do whatever one wants or does not want. For example, the individual can choose drink lots of prohibited liquor. I n this case, the individual feels he or she has the ethical right to drink until one finally drops off due to drunkenness. Similarly, the individual can freely inject all the prohibited drugs he or she wants. No one should interfere with the individual’s exercise of his or her freedom to destroy him or her from the overdose of the prohibited drugs.
Similarly, the individual can choose to avoid any act or non-act that may cause pain or suffering on the same individual. Consequently, the individual can perform any act or non-act that will lessen the pain or suffering from a current or future activity or absence of activity. Under this ethical standard, the individual focuses on his or her own preferred action or inaction. Under this ethical standard, the individual is selfish. He or she prioritizes what will benefit the individual. The same person pegs as secondary the effects of his or her action on the other person. The other person may be the individual’s friends, relatives, neighbors, or acquaintances.
For example, the people were encouraged to prioritize enjoying life. Eating gratification or pleasure includes eating one’s favorite food choices. Enjoyment means drinking until we drop. Drinking gratification includes drinking beer, vodka and other intoxicating liquor. Drinking also includes drinking soft drinks like Coke, Pepsi, and other products.
However, engaging
