Have You Faith of God
()
About this ebook
In the lesson of the withered fig tree Jesus simply tells the disciples, “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). He literally, says, “Have the faith of God,” the God-kind of faith, have the faith that God gives! Does it matter whether Jesus said, ‘have faith in God,’ or ‘have the faith of God.’?” What is God’s desire? You will find out by reading this book.

Preface
Years ago I worked with many kinds of professional people. Often, as they spied my Bible on the desk they questioned my beliefs. Being gifted scientists and engineers some would question, Is the Bible the Word of God?
Is it the absolute trustworthy revelation of God and man and eternity?
I believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, for many reasons, but primarily because the testimony of Christ Jesus says so. Unfortunately we live in a time when more and more people don’t accept the teachings of Jesus. Some are religious liberalists who might accept Jesus’ teachings (or portions twisted to suit themselves) but not the teaching of the whole Bible. They say, How can I believe what Moses supposedly said, or what Isaiah or what Ezekiel said is true. How can I believe that Jesus really rose from the dead?
Some one might say, Suppose it is the Word, so what?
Everything! If the Bible is the Word of God, then Jesus is the Son of God. And there is no salvation for any of us except for faith, a living faith in Him.
If we accept the teachings of Christ Jesus, we must accept all the Old and New Testaments. If we accept His authority, we must accept everything on which He puts the stamp of His authority.
In Mark 7:10 Jesus begins quoting from the Ten Commandments and other portions of the Law of Moses. He compares the teachings of the Law to traditions of the Pharisees. He tells them, "You make ‘the word of God of no effect through your traditions’ (v. 13). He distinctly called the Law of Moses the ‘word of God.’
In Luke 16:31 Jesus says, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.
In this one verse Jesus forcefully endorses the truth of the prophets and Old Testament Scriptures.
Others will question, How do we know that the gospels records are an accurate duplicate, a photocopy of Jesus’ teachings? Jesus said,
The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you" (John 14:26). And so, Christ Jesus puts His stamp of authority on both the teaching of the Holy Spirit, and the apostle’s recollection of what He Himself taught.
One final word; Jesus said, Truly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled
(Mt. 5:18). It’s
