Sam Grau never planned on seeing his former best friend again. One-night stands worked well enough to ease his heartache and loneliness...except he wanted more. He’s got a choice—chase his dreams or the man he loves. He can’t have both.

Josh Thomas never gave up on finding the one man who understood him down to the cellular level. He walked away once, but not a second time. He’s willing to sacrifice his heart and pride to show his quirky friends the men they’ve both become, all in the name of saving Sam.

Zero, Ohio, where the temperatures might be below freezing

but you can always melt the frost with smoking-hot sex.

    Chapter One

Flying solo really freaking sucks. Sam wiped the margarita salt from the bar. And the number of hot men in Zero is zero, he muttered.

He hated karaoke night, but if the marketing idea brought in business, then he’d deal. In a town like Zero, Ohio, karaoke served as one of the few highlights. He tossed the wadded rag into the soapy water, then grabbed the pair of dirty margarita glasses and plunged them into the hot-water sink. If someone had asked him five years ago what he thought he’d be doing by the time he hit twenty-seven, he never would’ve said bartending and living in half a duplex with a dog. He hoped the board from the community center would call already so he could dump the job at the bar and do what he wanted to all along—help the LGBT youth community. He refused to let even one kid go through the personal hell he’d lived before he’d come out.

Good thing Ziggy, his Rottweiler, kept him company while he waited for the magic phone call he hoped would change his life.

The door pinged and a group of college girls bounded into the bar. Their giggles just about drowned out the current song, something by a boy band he couldn’t name. He sighed and grabbed two more margarita glasses. Dollar ’Rita night mixed with heinous renditions of Jennifer Lopez songs….what a way to live.

Two strawberry margaritas and one blue moon one. The girl slapped a five on the bar. Do you sing?

He filled the order, then slid the first two glasses across the bar. Nope. I shatter glass with my voice. Not the total truth, but he doubted the girl cared. You’re not my type. He added blue moon mix to the third glass and stirred. He’d barely pulled the stir stick from the glass when the blonde yanked the drink away from him.

You don’t know your type until you’ve sampled me. She winked and sashayed to her table.
