Ready to go? Tom called out after he pulled into the driveway. He was wearing black chaps over his favorite torn jeans, a white T-shirt with a now-defunct beer company’s logo on the front, a heavy leather jacket and a rainbow bandana around his head, covering his long straight black hair. With sunglasses hiding his blue eyes, he looked every bit the part of a rebel biker. No one would guess that he was a town planner.

Yeah, just need to lock up the house. Billy stood up and locked the door then slid the key into the front pocket of his jeans. He picked up his backpack and slipped it on over his brown leather jacket. He was wearing a white T-shirt, though his had Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory on it, under the jacket. Tom admired how Billy’s ass filled out the jeans. On the porch was a black bike helmet.

You’re not gonna embarrass me by wearing that thing, are you?

Unlike you, I like the idea of my head remaining in one piece if you try to kill us.

Tom laughed. Right, like I’m the one who has spilled three bikes, totaling one, in as many years.

Not one of them was my fault!

Uh huh. That’s why you’re riding with me this weekend. Let’s get on the road. I’d like to get to Keene before nightfall.

How far is that?

About four hours, depending on traffic.

My ass is going to be so sore, and not the way you want.

Tom laughed again. It wasn’t a secret to anyone who knew him that he was gay or that he liked younger men. Whatever. Get on.

That’s what he said, Billy joked then put on his helmet on over his curly brown hair. He slid behind Tom on the bike, leaving a few inches between them as a buffer, then said, Let’s roll!

Tom nodded his head and waited to feel Billy’s hands on his sides. The younger man’s touch sent a bolt of electricity through his body and his pants got tighter in the front. Tom had wanted eighteen year old Billy since he was sixteen and had started working at the deli in the grocery store. Tom had to be patient and wait but he was sure it would be worth it, that is if he could convince Billy to give it a shot.

They headed towards the highway then north to New Hampshire. It was a beautiful day for traveling — the skies were filled with white fluffy clouds and the sun was shining down on them.
