    Starr gathered a few outfits from her closet. She would stay at her sister’s house until she could get a place of her own. There was no way she could or would be in the house with Trey. He had fucked up bad, and she’d made up her mind it was best for her to leave. She gathered some socks and underwear and her pajamas. Trey burst in the room.

    Babe, I know you ain’t gonna leave me because of this. Come on, babe, can’t you see she’s just jealous of our happiness?

    Starr folded her pajamas and put them in the Louis Vuitton overnight bag. She didn’t respond to Trey.

    So now you’re going to pretend you don’t hear me?

    What do you want me to say? I mean seriously, you have a child now. A child I didn’t know about.

    Trey sat on the edge of the bed and looked Starr in the face. His eyes were sad. He said, I don’t want you to go. Really, babe, don’t leave me. I will do whatever it takes to be with you.

    She put a pair of heels in her bag and said, Trey, this shit really hurt me, dude. I don’t know if I can get over this. I mean I thought you loved me.

    Trey dropped to his knees said, Baby, please don’t leave me. I am nothing without you.

    She tossed a pair of sneakers in her bag then folded her arms. Trey, get off your knees. Ain’t nobody got time for your bullshit.

    What are you talking about? I’m serious, babe. I don’t want you to leave me.

    And what about Jessica and your child, NIGGA?
