AT LONG LAST, TIME FOR LOVE!

A WEEKEND RENDEZVOUS, A SECRET COTTAGE, AND ROMANCE!

After Crystal has finally broken up with Travis and Flynn has ended his engagement with Zanna, they are free to act on their feelings. A weekend away is exactly what they need to discover more about each other. But even though they’d only met twice, they can’t help but anticipate that there is more to what they’re feeling.

There is no mistaking it. Something binds Chrystal and Flynn together, and even they can’t deny it. She would like to call it falling in love, but there’s something more. Something that’s almost... magical. She might have a chance for a perfect Christmas after all.

But the romantic weekend is a bit distracted by Flynn’s insistence that there are some things that Chrystal needs to know about herself. She highly doubts that Flynn would know more about herself than she does, so what can it be that is so important he is at it like a dog with a bone?

Do you want a clue? How about... fairy dust?

EXCERPT

“I will give it to you, but for the record – this is just to humor you. And yes, I am curious about what foolery you’re going to say next,” she said, amused.

“That is fine,” he said. “Now, I would like for you to move forward to this last week or so in your life. First, there was the little girl, Maddie, who won that incredibly lucky spending trip in the toy store. Then there was Claire, her mother, who you managed to help get into a very nice apartment at a price she can afford. Most of all, there’s Rayna and her miracle pregnancy that occurred after you told her that you wished more than anything that you could make it happen for her.”

“All of those things are strictly coincidence,” Chrystal said incredulously.

“Don’t forget about the woman at the travel agency,” he continued as if she hadn’t spoken. “You told her to go inside because you felt that they would be able to surprise her today. Do you remember some fine, gold colored dust?”

He could see the subtle shift in her expression as he continued to speak.

“I remember some weird dust,” she admitted hesitantly. “But what does that have to do with anything?” And how the hell did he know about it?

“It’s called fairy dust,” Flynn replied.

Sandra Ross

The moment Sandra Ross held her first romance novel when she was ten, she knew she was going to write romance. At thirty now, a prolific reader and a freelance writer, she's since then expanded her preferences from just romance to romance with a dash of now trending sub-genres—paranormal , fantasy, sci-fi even, and erotica. She loves challenging herself and would write on a dare. On a normal day, she would be found in her herb garden collecting spices for her kitchen or ingredients for her potions; in her huge eclectic Provencal kitchen with the big modern oven cooking pots and pans of food for her family of one husband and three kids (an ardent daughter and two boisterous sons) that'll probably last for weeks; in her library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and an e-reader in her hands as she reads the latest erotic hit; or scribbling pages upon pages of different erotic lifestyles, searching for the one that feels like it was inspired by just the right mix of passion, story line, and sex. Aside from these activities, the rest of the time she'd be found in front of her laptop typing the latest Sandra Ross concoction for her readers.

    CHAPTER ONE

THE REST OF the week went by rather uneventfully for Chrystal Seabell.

Travis had stayed away as she had asked and everything else was going along pretty well. She had spoken with Flynn a few times and they were still planning to go to his secret home for the weekend.

Now, if she could only figure out what she was going to tell her parents for why she was away. The last thing she wanted was for them to worry about her, but she also didn't feel that they would understand this. Even she didn't understand what had taken hold of her, so how could she expect them to?

Of course, she would introduce her parents to Flynn when the time was right, but she had a very clear idea of what they would think now, this soon after her breakup with Travis.

They would think of this as a rebound situation.

In a way, she supposed it might be something like that, but she also knew that she had never loved Travis. So could you have a rebound situation when you had never loved someone to begin with?

Yes, she thought. This is the best way to do things for now. She would come up with a cover story and then meet Flynn to go to his secret house.

There were butterflies in her stomach and her heart was thudding so hard. Who knew how it would all work out? But remembering against he onslaught of wonderful feelings she'd felt after meeting Flynn, she knew she had to at least try.

As she drove towards her home, her cell phone alerted her to a text message. But she was driving so she did not read it. Her mind wandered as she drove along to what sort of clothes she should pack for the weekend. Probably sort of casual since he had said it was a bit rustic. That was what he had said, wasn't it? Or had she just imagined it?

Pulling into the long drive that led to her parents' home as well as her own, her mind was still racing as to what this weekend would bring. It scared her just a little. On the other hand, though, she was ready for something new in her life.

Chrystal loved her job and she loved that she had the security she needed in loving parents who also happened to have money. It would be silly to say she didn't appreciate the fact. But she also didn't take it for granted. She appreciated it and made the most of it.

Yet, she had felt there was something missing from her life in recent years.

She had hoped to find what it was with Travis, she realized now, and it had been a mistake to try to use him in that way. In fact, she still felt guilty over letting that relationship linger for such a long time before admitting to herself that it wasn't going anywhere. But she had done the right thing, now, and she could move forward and look to her future.

After she had parked in front of her cottage, she picked up her cell phone to see that the text had come from Flynn.

I'm very much looking forward to this weekend. Everything is set. I'll let you know tomorrow where to meet me.

Smiling, she let her fingers fly over her key pad.

I'm also looking forward to it. I'll wait to hear from you.

Then she got out of the car and entered her home. She would change clothes and have dinner with her parents. That's when she would tell them about being away for the weekend.

As she walked up her stairs, another text came in from Flynn. Does it make me sound desperate if I tell you that I've thought of you constantly since our dinner?

She hit the second floor as her fingers flew over the key pad once more as she replied to him.

If it makes you sound desperate, then that describes me as well :)

Changing into some jeans, a sweater and boots, she brushed her hair and drew on some lip gloss. She went back downstairs, grabbed her coat and headed to her parents.

As usual, her father greeted her at the door and led her to the study where her mother waited for her. She was trying to figure out if she should mention her weekend away now or wait until dinner. Then decided that she may as well get it over with and just dive right in.

I wanted to let you both know that I'm going to be away this weekend, she said casually. "I really need some time to
