The apparent murder of a Department of Homeland Security agent at the port leads Col. Barnes, Director of the Southern District of Homeland Security and Lt. Shelia Moore of the Fort Lauderdale Police to team up. Together they uncover the beginnings of a huge clandestine attack designed to completely collapse the US economy.
The electrical energy from the colossal dirty bomb hidden under the cruise liner combined with lightning strikes causes a time slip that transports the ship back to the year 602. The only hope they have of getting back is from information Jeanne received from Nick, her benefactor at The Seventh Mountain.
