I grew up on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, where I was raised more or less feral before being forced to attend public school. I started writing speculative fiction at the earliest opportunity. The ideas in my novel Foothold made first contact in high school, fueled by backwoods paranoiac rumors and a healthy diet of pulp. I am currently seeking a mass market publisher and working on my next story.
