About this ebook
Losing A Bet Has Never Been So Fun...
On a trip to the casino, Sam and her three college buddies (Dex, Charlie, and Jackson) find themselves making something they refer to as “exotic wagers”. They propose odd bets within the group, performing outlandish dares if their spins on the machine produce a profit. The bets get silly, and the friends become outrageous with their challenges. Jackson, Sam’s best friend and old college roommate, throws out a dare for her—if she wins big, she has to sleep with all of them.
After a wild night in bed with the guys, Sam finds herself plagued with thoughts of Jackson. She thinks she might be falling in love with her best friend, but can she convince him their night together was more than just some silly bet?

Chapter One
Sam hit send on her final memo of the week and sat back in her office chair with a satisfied exhale. Friday. It was finally Friday. She had a fun weekend planned, too. She and the guys from college were getting together for a trip to the casino two states over. They’d made it a tradition to meet every couple of months. It was their ritual to help everyone keep in touch, and she was looking forward to it very much.
The door to her office flew open and her old college roommate, Jackson, peeked his head in, his dark shaggy hair falling into his eyes. Yo! Sam, let’s go. We’ve been off for ten minutes already. Get your butt out of this office, or I’ll drag you out.
Okay! Okay!
She held her hands up in placation. She knew there was no deterring him once he had his mind set on something.
She and Jackson had met the first day of freshman year in college. Sam’s full name was Samantha, but she hadn’t gone by that since middle school. All of her school records had her listed as Sam. That was the error that landed her in an all boys’ dormitory.
She’d been a terrified kid surrounded by male students. She’d hidden in her dorm room in horror the first two hours. She’d been too afraid to even leave the room to inform the school of their mistake.
Then Jackson had walked in. He’d taken one look at her huddled at the head of her bed with her knees pulled up to her chest, and burst out laughing. He’d entered the room all smiles and good-natured. He’d put her instantly at ease. They’d been best friends ever since.
Wheeling her chair away from the desk, Sam pushed to her feet and set Jackson with a stern look. She hadn’t climbed her way to project manager in her department of the company they worked for by being a pushover. I’m coming. Besides, Dex is never on time for anything. A couple minutes won’t matter.
Jackson crossed his arms over his broad chest and gave her a matching stern expression. He is where gambling is involved. Let’s go.
She was about to reach for her purse when her computer chirped, signaling she had an e-mail. She froze, her head turning in the direction of the sound.
Don’t you do it,
Jackson warned.
She bit her lip. But that might be from Jamison about the proposal…
Jamison knows you’re done at four. And that you have the next three days off. Leave it.
Sam nodded, but her gaze returned to the computer monitor.
Sam.
There was a threatening tone to Jackson’s voice.
Just a quick peek?
His arm shot out and he suddenly yanked the computer’s cord from the wall.
Jackson, you dick!
She made a move for the computer. You shut it down improperly.
Oh no!
He feigned horror. Moving in her direction with intent, he laughed deep in his throat.
With her eyes widening, Sam backed away from him. What are you doing?
Getting your ass out of this office.
Bending down, he scooped Sam up and tossed her over his shoulder.
She gave a squeal and braced her hands against his back. Jackson, put me down!
She gave a cry of outrage as he started for the door. This is unprofessional!
At least she’d worn a knee-length pencil skirt today and could rest assured her panties weren’t being flashed to the entire office. Realizing there was no stopping him, she called out, At least grab my purse!
Somehow managing to keep her balanced on his shoulder, he stooped down and snatched her purse up from the floor. Then, with barely a pause, he was up and stomping out of her office.
Sam gave another feeble protest and watched upside down while he paraded her past her secretary. Jane!
Her voice came out strangled. Jane, did we get that proposal for the Jefferson project?
Poor Jane looked startled to see her boss being dragged out in such a fashion. "Not yet. They
