Ralph L. Simone is an international management consultant specializing in Total Quality Management and Organizational Development and Change. For the past ten years he has been president of Productivity Leadership Associates, a national coaching and consulting organization. For the past twenty years he has also been president of Simone & Associates, a local management consulting firm. In addition to development and facilitation of TQM and OD interventions, he is responsible for marketing, delivery, and developing associations with other business advisers in order to provide optimum breadth and depth of services to clients. As a consultant and senior associate for Coopers & Lybrand, MCS (Syracuse, NY), Mr. Simone specialized in manufacturing and quality improvement for both the upstate New York and northeast regions, acquiring proficiency in Total Quality Management, Organizational Development, Just-In-Time Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance, and Software Systems Selection. Mr. Simone also managed and participated in several successful maintenance and quality improvement projects for large and small companies representing a broad range of products, markets, and technologies. Mr. Simone was the quality performance manager for Carrier Corporation (Syracuse, NY), responsible for the development and support of the quality improvement process for manufacturing and administrative functions worldwide. While associated with Carrier, Mr. Simone also served as quality improvement coordinator, enlisting and synergizing a core team of middle managers and union leaders toward a corporate objective of quality improvement through employee empowerment and involvement. As manufacturing planner, he assisted with the introduction and support of new computer systems supporting the informational needs for the manufacturing environment. As production buyer, Mr. Simone was responsible for the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials supporting three manufacturing plants, participating as lead negotiator for corporate contracts and overall dollar responsibilities totaling $15 million. Mr. Simone obtained a B.B.A. in Accounting from Siena College. He obtained his coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence Coaching. He is certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, and L4 instruments, and has significant experience with Statistical Process Control and the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award criteria and process. Mr. Simone is a Certified Purchasing Manager, and the 1991 recipient of the Coopers & Lybrand Commitment Award.
