    When you’re animal rappin’

    First your toes start a’tappin’

    And the rhythm gets under your skin

    And your heart starts a’pumpin’

    And your joints start a’jumpin’

    And your face wears a gratified grin.

    ’Cause the rhyme really gets you

    And the beat really lets you

    Improvise any way that you choose,

    For there’s bear rap and cat rap

    And duck rap and rat rap

    And rap about moose and gnus;

    And there’s horse rap and hawk rap

    And ape rap and auk rap

    And rap about turkeys and dogs;

    And there’s worm rap and wren wrap

    And hare rap and hen rap

    And rap about lizards and frogs.

    When you’re animal rappin’

    You can make a lot happen

    Of a sort that is hard to explain,

    And if they say to quit it

    You can try, but admit it

    You know you’ll soon be rappin’ again.
