Letters from the Dark Side - Cora Buhlert
A note from the editor
pinstripeAs avid readers of our sister magazine True Confessions — Real Stories of Real Heartbreak by Real People you will be familiar with the format of our journal. Real people, people just like you, write to our magazine to tell us about their most intimate problems. Read their harrowing and heartbreaking letters as well as the responses by our licensed psychologist Dr. Megan Midnight who is always happy to offer hope and advice to troubled souls.
This is the way we have been publishing our magazine for more than fifty years now to great success. However, of late it seems as if the fame of our journal has spread beyond the realm of ordinary human existence. Because we have been receiving letters that hint of problems quite a bit outside of normal earthly experience. Nor were we the only ones to receive such letters. Indeed, various agencies have reported receiving similar letters.
Here at True Confessions, we have made it our mission to help troubles souls. And the souls who wrote us those letters most certainly are troubled. And if a troubled soul — whether human or not, living, dead or undead — cries out for help, we cannot ignore them. Hence, we have decided to print those letters in a very special edition of our magazine.
So lean back in your favourite armchair and prepare to discover that even the non-human, the supernatural and the undead can sometimes have very human problems.
pinstripeI love him, but he has changed
pinstripeDear Megan,
my name is Madison, I’m sixteen years old and I have a problem.
You see, there’s this new boy in my class. His name is Logan and he’s really sweet. I like him a whole lot.
