Creepy House
Susan Hunter jumped. How stupid. The house is old and it creaks. Something to do with expansion and contraction or something. Who cares? All she knew was the sudden loud noise scared the crap out of her.
She should have gone camping with Mike and the kids. A little mild stomach irritation wasn’t enough to force her to stay home. Mike knew why she wasn’t going. Their small argument had blown to huge proportions.
At least that’s what he told her in his stupid condescending way. Well he was wrong. Buying this old dilapidated house without her having any say in it wasn’t the way couples did things.
The house creeped her out from the moment they moved in a couple months before. Something evil lurked inside. She knew it. Mike scoffed at her. Said she only felt that way because he had neglected to include her in the buying process.
Neglected? That’s what he called it? She’d show him neglected.
What did it matter anyway? Her staying home in a creepy house out of spite for him was stupid. What did he care? He was out having a good time. Here she was sitting in the living room afraid to go to bed because the house might do something to her.
