After 30 plus years in Scotland, Raven now lives near the east Yorkshire coast, with her long-suffering husband, who is used to rescuing the dinner, when she gets immersed in her writing, keeping her coffee pot warm and making sure the wine is chilled. With a new home to decorate and a garden to plan, she’s never short of things to do, but writing is always at the top of her list. Her other hobbies include walking along the coast and spotting the wildlife, reading, researching, cros stitch and trying not to drop stitches as she endeavours to knit. Being left-handed, and knitting right-handed, that’s not always easy.

Chapter One
"Jackson Carrick, get your ass in gear and listen up. Now."
Jack groaned as an overloud rattle and jangle told him that Tina, his housekeeper, had opened the curtains. The bright light seared his retinas behind his eyelids and confirmed it. He opened one eye and peered blearily up at her.
Whaa?
Beside him, Coll muttered and buried his head under the pillow.
Coll Roberts, this applies to you as well,
Tina said. Are you both naked under there?
Jack lifted the duvet with exaggerated care and looked underneath. Coll's cock waved a welcome. His own dick was in a similar state of attention.
Yup. Both naked. Why?
Because I really don't want to see two great hairy pricks and asses––well, not two naked ones. I see enough of you both as it is.
Harsh, Tina. Very harsh. Coll shaved yesterday.
Not my balls, though,
Coll said under his breath. Evidently he'd forgotten that Tina had sharp hearing.
Too much information, Collum.
Jack sniggered and she stared at him. Tina had a way of looking into him that made him want to own up to every misdemeanor he'd ever gotten away with, and then some. He rushed to speak. I can't ditch the beard. I need it for the part. Damned itchy it is, as well.
Jack scratched the stubble, which had grown past the designer stage and into the scruffy one. He'd be glad when his latest TV series was filmed and he could either grow a proper beard or become clean-shaven. Kick-ass cops and hot women were beginning to pall––especially the hot women. He was strictly a one-man guy.
"If you don't both sit up and listen, I am going to pull the covers off you. Tina glared at him with something more than impatience in her expression.
Jack, this is important." Her tone was harsh. As Tina was one of the most even-tempered people Jack knew, he decided whatever was bugging her was serious.
Jack poked Coll in the nearest part of anatomy he could reach. Of course it had to be Coll's dick, which reacted with predictable enthusiasm and leaked some of that 'enthusiasm' over Jack's hand. He wiped his palm on Coll's leg and bit back a grin as Coll swore under his breath.
Pardon?
Tina stood next to the bed, with her hands on her hips. Do I need to do the magic countdown?
It was obvious she was a parent.
No. Does she, Coll?
Jack sat up and tugged on Coll's short blond hair.
Coll struggled upright. No, no, of course not. Hey, Tina, wozzup?
He rubbed his eyes. Except from Stu's usual crappy homemade beer. At least Jack has an excuse not to drink it.
I'd still rather not be coeliac and be able to drink beer, like you. Just not Stu's, of course… And I must sort out that press statement soon. Anyway, Tina, what's up?
Apart from you two and shenanigans, I have no idea.
She walked across to the long table set under the window and poured each of them a cup of tea. "But what were you thinking of, Jack?" She handed each man a cuppa, picked up another cup herself and sat on the end of the bed.
When?
Jack had no idea what she was talking about. Was she talking about the fact he had yet to mention his allergy to all things gluten? He understood, and was happy to accept he needed to make the world aware he'd been diagnosed Coeliac. However, it had only been a couple of days since the test results were in and he'd met with his consultant. Surely, Tina didn't think he should have sorted everything out so quickly?
Dave will be here in a sec.
Dave, her husband, was a Detective Inspector who worked along side Jack's brother in the local police station. He wants to talk to you.
Shall we ask you to leave and we'll get up?
Jack was beginning to feel alarmed. A tiny, nasty spider of worry tickled his spine. Perhaps he wouldn't feel so vulnerable, if he weren't bollocks naked under the covers.
Tina shook her head. It'll take too long. This is a crisis meeting. Dave's just parking the car. Now, drink your tea. You'll need it.
It was, Jack thought, an unusual set up, but it worked for them. How many other gay couples could sit in bed—naked—and drink tea with their housekeeper? Not many, he reckoned.
Tina put her cup
