This book has a few points. They’re not physical; unless you printed it, and in that case, I hope you hear the trees screaming.

The biggest point of this book is for you to not have to shave your head because of dreadlocks gone wrong.

I mean, you can (if you want to) but you risk finding out if your skull is malformed and Gumby like.

Looking around on the internet, there is a lot of advice about getting your dreads started. It’s a lot of experimenting, a lot on gloating, but very little on describing on how to maintain them and keep them professional at all times and… make it easy.

You’ll see hippies have dreads one way, and a lot of black ethnic groups have dreads another. There’s a lot of differences. The hippie dreads are based off of neglect, and letting the hair do it’s own thing. The ethnic way is much more organized and lets you maintain a more clean-cut image. (This book is for the more clean-cut approach.)

Either way, it’s a lifestyle choice you’ll have to live with. If you plan on living with dreads, there’s pros and cons to both, so before you jump into one or the other, it’s best to make an informed decision. What you choose will have cause and effect that will last for a potential lifetime. It will affect your job and how people think of you. Most people have to take those aspects of their lives into serious consideration.

In my experience, having pale skin and dreads gets you judged for something
