Cass unlocked the door of her apartment and opened it, wrestling with a half dozen shopping bags as she went inside. The scent of the fresh lavender and sage potpourri she had left on the living room table floated out to meet her as she walked in. She hung her keys on the hook above the light switch and closed the door behind her. She dropped the bags on the floor near the door.
