Introduction
Some people would say living where I did was like living in a pit, Id have to disagree because all holes can be climbed out of, just not this one, Vandalism, Arson, Violence, My playground, As for school, school was my hell.
To say my family had no money would be a joke, except it wasn’t very funny, as a scruffy little kid living in the dunks as it was known, was hard, did anyone care? Don’t be stupid, course they didn’t (I chuckled), My dad well lets just say that nobody on the estate messed with my old man, Straight out of the army, married my mum and owned the estate where I lived.
But man was he strict, It was the fact that if you did anything to his kids he’d use his commando training to put you in your place, they hit the ground so fast they didn’t know what happened to them, for us kids, well we felt untouchable, It turned us into little monsters, We ruled.
My dad had a saying" I’ll slap your ass so hard you won't be able to sit down for a week, boy was he right, If my mum took time to cook, you made time to eat, or you sat there all night, My mum lovely woman that had to put up with us, but she had a mouth on her, and the whole street knew it.
Welcome to my life.
The Fence
Chapter 1
