About this ebook
Sealed with a sticky paw! First class correspondence from the nation's favourite bear, Paddington – now a major movie star!
Dear Aunt Lucy,
I expect this will come as a great surprise to you, but not only have I arrived in England, but I have an address! I’m staying at number 32 Windsor Gardens and it isn’t at all like the Home for Retired Bears…
This delightfully engaging series of letters from Paddington to his Aunt Lucy in Peru, follows his new experiences in London while showcasing his uniquely charming and hilarious take on the world. From stowing away on a ship, to working as a barber, there is certainly never a dull moment!
Michael Bond
Michael Bond began chronicling Paddington’s adventures in his first book, A Bear Called Paddington, published in 1958. Fortunately, bears don’t need much encouragement, and Paddington has since filled the pages of twelve further novels, a variety of picture books, and many other projects written for the young at heart.

Reviews for Love from Paddington

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I first fell in love with Paddington in 1977, but he hasn't held up well for me. Neither of the kids has ever gone for him, and recent efforts on a re-read went nowhere. This was okay, but it benefited from nostalgia points. Well, that, and filling in the Peruvian backstory.
Library copy - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A series of letters from Paddington Bear to his Aunt Lucy in the Home For Retired Bears in Peru. These are Paddington's own take on the happenings of the original books. As such, the main events are familiar, however there are extra details and differences in interpretation. Reading them reminded me that I really ought to re-read the complete original stories since I've only read A Bear Called Paddington and Paddington At The Zoo since childhood (to my son). I think these are more for older children and adult fans as the letter writing style is less suited to younger children.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I had known about Paddington Bear for a long time, and am so very glad that I have now read "Love from Paddington." He is earnest, helpful in his own way but most of all he is fun. And what the world needs such a lot of is fun.
