About this ebook

This is a steamy fantasy fiction romance short story (word count 5,253)

Xavier, by a stroke of pure luck, discovers Alyssa, a Nymph of the forest, sitting alone and naked on a large rock, singing sweetly to herself while combing her long golden hair.
Captivated by the beautiful vision of Alyssa before him, Xavier seeks to gain her attention and discover more about her, but Alyssa escapes him, panicked by his unexpected presence, leaving Xavier disheartened! However, with the memory of Alyssa haunting him each night as he sleeps, Xavier pledges to find her once again and this time not let her go!
All the while, Xavier has made an equally impactful impression on Alyssa; she becomes very curious about him. Even though she understands that Xavier and herself are from two totally different worlds and are very different beings, he being human and mortal and she a goddess and immortal, Alyssa just cannot forget the way she felt in Xavier’s presence in the few moments of their first encounter and his touch on her body, and she finds in the end that she cannot help but yearn to see Xavier again!

As long as I can remember I have always loved everything and anything to do with the romance genre. Enjoying writing, reading and watching a wide range of love stories. I am a true romantic at heart! So after studying for a philosophy degree and then going on to work in a corporate job in advertising, I decided to reconnect with my passion again! I now write mainly romance short stories, with the aim to share all of my ideas with others who also have an interest in romantic fiction. I write in a range of romance subgenres including erotic romance, contemporary, sweet, paranormal/fantasy fiction and historical. I hope to continue writing as long as my ideas keep flowing out from my mind. In early 2014 I experienced my own personal love story, when I married my one true love. I now live together with my husband in London.

    Chapter 1

Xavier watched from afar, as the woman combed her wet, long, golden hair. She sat naked on a large rock by the running stream, singing merrily to herself and looking so carefree and innocent.

Xavier had never in his entire life been touched with a song so sweet and pure to his senses, and a vision so beautiful. He truly believed that she was the symbol of loveliness itself.

When he had left to go hunting in the forest that day, he had been hesitant, not feeling in the mood to catch any game. However, Joshua, his closest friend, had been insistent that they venture out and take time out from their training to relax and enjoy themselves. They rarely now got the opportunity to do so, now that they were grown men and warriors.

Now Xavier wanted to pat Joshua’s back with joy and appreciation, for he had helped him find the most precious treasure on the hunt.

He crept closer to the oblivious woman, who continued to sing out her satisfaction as the rays of the sun shone down on her smooth, olive skin and curvy womanly body. She then turned and bent down her body on the rock
