About this ebook
The Lovely Bones meets Ghost, Remember The Moon is a poignant story of an everlasting love that reaches far beyond the grave. Jay is a successful businessman, husband, and father. His sudden death leaves his wife, Maya, hollow and angry, and their seven-year-old son, Calder, spins destructively out of control. With help from a spirited afterlife therapist, Jay revisits his past, discovering hard truths about himself and the world he left behind. He attempts to comfort Maya and Calder in their grief while discovering his true “spirit” self. Then, when Maya hires a psychic to communicate with him, Jay learns her darkest secret and in his shock, inadvertently sends her on a path of ill-fated romance. Confronted with the decision to either follow his mortal instincts or help his wife find love, Jay must learn to transcend everything he ever was.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Remember The MoonBy: Abigail Carter. Pages. 235Copy Courtesy of instafreebie.comReviewed by: tk A weekend getaway planned for the family skiing and just having fun together. When plans change, Maya, and their son Calder head out to the slopes without Jay. Jay just wants to have some alone time. He works hard running his own business putting in long hours, that he needs a break to recharge himself. Telling a lie to be home alone, a meeting that can't be rescheduled...perfect. Guilty of the lie, and Calders' disappointment is to much. Jay decides to drive up to the resort, and enjoy the rest of the weekend with his wife and son.Fate takes a turn...a car accident. Jay is dead. Really? He doesn't feel like he died. Jay may be dead, but he still has work to do. Maya, and Calder still need him. With help of his spirit guide, and his father that pasted away when he was young, Jay will rediscover himself, and help guide his family to happiness.A delightful read. I don't know what caused more tears, the loss, or the laughter. I adored the characters, and the sentimental devotion to memories, and life lessons. The story is unique. A realistic twist on life after death. I want to believe this to be true. A must have in your library. 5/5
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I truly enjoyed it. I was fascinated by the concept that we continue to grow even after death. I really recommend it!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely gorgeous in its lyrical language and look at the stages of loss from both sides of a tragedy. I loved every moment. Highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to examine what it's like to experience loss and find yourself again, sometimes in the most odd situations. It was one of those books in which you don't want to skip a single word. Awesome!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I RECEIVED REMEMBER THE MOON THROUGH LIBRARY THING. THIS BOOK IS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED AFTER A YOUNG FATHER DIED, LEAVING BEHIND HIS WIFE AND YOUNG SON. HE COMES TO FIND OUT THAT HE CAN HELP THEM AND SOMEWHAT COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. LIFE IS JUST A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR THE IMMORTAL SOUL. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK AND MS. CARTER'S VERSION OF WHAT COMES AFTER DEATH. IT IS A VERY THOUGHT-PROVOKING AND HEARTWARMING READ. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANYONE.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was an insightful read. I enjoyed reading about how it would be like in the after life and trying to cope with the person who is on earth trying to move on with their life. Jay, was a character that made you wonder what it would be like to come back and watch over someone that was still on earth. Maya, on the other hand had to learn how to cope with the loss of her husband and raise their child. It really makes you sit back and think about how life can and will still go on, but everyone's grief is different. Both for the living and the unliving in this book. This book had a good story line about what it would be like from both perspectives, yet had a sad but happy ending. The only reason I found the ending sad was because both the living and the unliving had to learn how to let each other go and love again. It had a couple turns that I thought were interesting. However, what I truly liked about the book was Jay's journey. I never thought about the journey someone took after they passed away quite like this, but it was an enjoyable read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Starts out confusing, with jay's death and then anothe version of his death, til I wasn't sure where I was or what was happening. But it turned out to be a very interesting book. I"m sure it's based on various books about reincarnation and what happens after death and before returning to earth again. But I got caught up in the story and enjoyed it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5An interesting and touching read that deals with a parallel walk between a husband and wife after his death. She mourns and struggles through a difficult time being a young widow and single mother, whilst he watches over her and their son. If you have ever wondered what happens to you after death, you will find this story intriguing. It is obviously the author's version, but nonetheless, a believable one. It is thought provoking and touching, and shows clearly what the loss of a loved one can do to those left behind. Certainly worth reading if you have ever wondered about life after death, love and loss, and how you would deal with that.
