Chapter 1

Walking towards my bed, I sat down with a dejected feeling. Parker's face remained in my mind, the way he'd looked, the way he'd seemed so hurt. My tears began to fall. I was supposed to become the princess, but why did I keep making mistakes? Whatever I did, the end result was hurting the ones I cared about. I'd never been afraid of doing something, but in front of him, I was unable to be courageous. I wasn't even able to console him.

There was a knock on my door, and I could only stare. My legs were slow to move, and my energy had already gone. Again there was a knock. I wiped away my tears, and opened the door. My eyes widened as I saw Parker standing there. He no longer looked angry, and was instead calm. Just seeing him again made me happy.

Let me ask just one thing, said Parker. Do you have to be a princess? Is it something you'd rather die for than give up?

I looked at him, not understanding where he was going with this. His words weren't malicious, his voice was soft, and caring.

Can't you not be the princess, said Parker, and live as my woman instead?

As he said those words, I was filled with an immense happiness. My heart raced, and my breath felt like it would escape me. But even so, I couldn't just say what I wanted to. I wanted to become princess, but I didn't want to push him away from me.

I can't you give an answer, I said. Because of me, I know what you've given up. Because of me, I know who you've made an enemy of. How can I give you an answer? If I do, then I know it'll be even harder than now. And I have no idea how I could protect you. How am I supposed to answer?

Parker smiled. I taught you well. This was a bad question to ask, but you answered it beautifully.

As Parker pulled me into a hug, I let out a gasp. Almost as if I felt a burden lifted off my heart. I felt happy, and smiled. I wrapped my arms around him, welcoming his embrace. He'd said it, and I wasn't imagining it. Something I'd wanted to hear him admit for so long. He liked me. Closing the door behind him, I locked it. In that moment, I wanted him more than I'd ever wanted him before. It wasn't a private lesson. It was just me, and him. A woman, and her man.

Leading him to my bed, I slowly took off my clothes. I stood in front of him, naked and not shy under his gaze. I lay back on the bed, and invited him to come. Tonight, I wanted him to ravage me. Parker slowly took off his clothes, and lay on top of me.
