JESSICA HART

Jessica Hart had a haphazard early career that took her around the world in a variety of interesting but very lowly jobs, all of which have provided inspiration on which to draw when it comes to the settings and plots of her stories. She eventually stumbled into writing as a way of funding a PhD in medieval history, but was quickly hooked on romance and is now a full-time author based in York. THE SECRET PRINCESS is another Harlequin Romance Presentation by the fabulous pen of author Jessica Hart from mini series Princess Swap.First we briefly met Princess Charlotte of Montluce, in Jessica Hart’s, An Ordinary Girl in a Tiara, where she manages to cajole her best friend, Caro, to pretend interest in her cousin, Prince Philippe to give her time to enjoy normal life outside the confines of the Royal Palace. The Book Blurb reads:Royal Exclusive: "Perfect" princess goes AWOL! Frustrated with the merry–go–round of political dinners and enforced good behavior, Lotty's determined to try a normal life on for size. However, she's completely unprepared for her sexy new boss, Corran McKenna. Bored with people bowing and scraping, Lotty doesn't mind Corran's frowns, but his wicked grin causes trouble! A no–strings fling with the only man who's ever seen the real—rather than the royal—her is irresistible, but what will happen when her real identity becomes headline news? My Review:Giving her security people the slip, Princess Charlotte of Montluce, heads out to isolated and unfriendly Loch Mhoraigh House to look for employment. The estate owner, Corran McKenna, though needing an employee sends her packing. Through her persistence she manages to secure the job of cleaning and painting the cottages and works really hard to prove herself, while hiding her true identity. She enjoys when rather than bowing before her Corran scowls and is crabby around her. She feels attracted to him, and spend more time wondering how it would feel being kissed by him than her work. He is the only man who starts to get to know her as a woman and Lotty decides to lose her virginity to him before returning to the Palace. She asks him to kiss her and he obliges so willingly as he had also been wondering how it would feel to kiss her, despite knowing that she is not his type! How this two journey to love is very sweetly depicted. When Lotty is being kissed by Corran for the first time, the emotional and sexual tension draws you in as it is very realistically written. But what would happen when Corran comes to know about Lotty’s background? Would he deem a Princess suitable to be a farmer’s wife? And what would happen when Corran finds out later through gossip columns’ that Princess Charlotte, back in her royal palace, just may be pregnant? The Secret Princess is a well-woven royal tale which has engaging characters and is filled with good dialogue and delightful resolution. The hero appears uncompromising and domineering on the outside but is really intensely emotional and tender on the inside. The heroine, Lotty is filled with innocence but is very strong and turns out to be a hard-worker. Corran and Lotty catches your attention and your heart.Jessica Hart’s latest, The Secret Princess is a romance that sparkles with mesmerizing emotions!
