‘How did you find me?’ Cassandra spoke with annoyance as Tristan, the Viscount of Crescent, was shown into the room by the maid, looking dashingly handsome with his rugged dark looks and striking, light brown eyes.

‘It was not hard,’ the Viscount said calmly, his voice deep and rich. ‘I remembered you mentioning that you had an elderly relation in Bath that you were very much fond of, so when I did not find you at your London home for a whole week I made a guess that you would be here. I managed to get the address from your mother on the guise that I wanted to write to you,’ he sat down on the chair opposite her even though he had not officially been invited to take a seat.

‘So you do have a good memory don’t you?’ Cassandra spoke calmly and sarcastically. ‘It is a shame that you also did not recall me telling you that I never wanted to see or speak with you again!’
