Ex-Marine Martin Makepeace only learned the truth of the maxim that you don’t know what you have until you lose it, the day his wife walked out on him with their two kids. Now, the social worker does his best to take care of those who need it most.

Graham Masterton

Graham Masterton (born 1946, Edinburgh) is a British horror author. Originally editor of Mayfair and the British edition of Penthouse, Graham Masterton's first novel The Manitou was published in 1976 and adapted for the film in 1978. An entertaining read (had to change the verbiage several times, due to the content. You sort of guessed what might happen otherwise it would have got a four-star rating. Well written, good characters.. the main ingredients for an adventure story.
