What’s it about?
Human beings are social creatures. We crave the company of others, especially those who are like-minded—those whom we get along with well and can share experiences with. In an ideal world, we would be surrounded by such people. Our lives would be full and our experiences enriched, because we got to enjoy them with people we like.
Unfortunately, we don’t live in an ideal world. We live in an imperfect one, full of imperfect people, which means we often end up interacting with difficult people. Theodore Roosevelt said that the single most important ingredient of success is knowing how to get along with people.
