About this ebook

Unmasked is a poetry novel that is not just about someone dealing with Bipolar Disorder and depression - it’s also about loss, hope, and survival. Of how a person can spiral so low but still manage to fight against the turmoil and find one’s self.

It is everyone’s story of trial and tribulation; how going through the hottest of fire and the torments of hell can make us stronger and wiser if only we hold on long enough and refuse to give up.

Hi! Thanks for visiting ^_^ My full name is Genevieve but you can call me Gen. I love to write; I wrote my first poem when I was four years old and I haven’t stopped. Until I went to law school – that was a disaster :P Suffice it to say I went back to writing and I have never been happier, more complete. Law school? Forever on hold I guess. While I am not writing I can be found under a big, shady tree with a book and a pitcher of ice-cold sweet tea or playing with my dogs and Budgie. I have more than a dozen dogs and I love them all even if they are quite a handful. On a really good day however, you can find me on my window seat, gazing up at the clouds, lost in my own world ^_^

    Unmasked - Genevieve Wisen

This story starts with a four year-old girl and her cow, a pink baby cow. Life was simple then but her rose-colored glasses fogged up and shattered. Her world became a jumble of mismatched puzzles and the darkness within threatened to consume her at every turn. She grew up and realized that pretending is a better game – a game she thought she will never lose. Naturally, she lost her heart; her spirit grew weary, and her mind shut down. To deny everything became her fate, to accept everything became her pain.

A sweet, little girl who knew nothing of the world but felt everything in life – welcome to her
