Lily laughed, a laugh that was gently interrupted by a loving kiss. That kiss did not stay gentle after a short while. As anticipated, the spark came and took control of them. There was no indication of the tiring day when she finally succumbed to the needful embrace of his arms, and soon they had retreated to their bedroom to make sweet, passionate love with each other.

Chapter One

LOOKING AT Pike's Peak from her balcony, Lily sipped on her hot Hazelnut coffee. It always calmed and centered her when she sat outside first thing in the morning with her coffee. The view was one of the main reasons that Lily had bought this house. There were the mountains to greet her each morning along with the beautiful lake that accented those mountains.

She loved her house. That's all there was to it. The weather made no difference to her, either. Even when it was below freezing and snow was piled up everywhere, Lily still bundled up and brought her coffee to the balcony each morning.

She smiled as she watched the sunrise marking the sky with its many hues. If she had any talent, this view would probably have motivated her to start painting. That was almost laughable because about the only thing she could do artistically was maybe some finger painting or abstracts. Anything that required her to render something realistic in appearance was impossible.

That was ok, though, because Lily had other talents that she used. Those talents had given her a very comfortable life and she was grateful for that. She never misused those talents because, as a Wiccan, she truly believed in the concept of karma. What she put out to the Universe would come back to her three times over. So she was always fair in what she charged people for her abilities. Instinctively, she always knew who could easily afford to pay more and who had needed to save money for a year to come see her. Lily had been known to offer her impressive services for no charge at all if they were truly needed.
