It was the start of the summer and the church carnival was kicking off a series of events. But before the fun began, some prayer was needed. And Kendall loved it when he and the other members of the church youth staff would all get in a circle and pray. Because this was one of those few moments when his eyes got to be true. Everybody’s heads were lowered, eyes closed, and they were deep in prayer while he was doing the exact opposite. He was staring across the prayer circle at him...Tristian.

Kendall watched as Tristian’s pink lips moved as he mouthed the prayer with the other members of the youth staff. Tristian wore a pair of black basketball shorts and a white t-shirt that hugged his lean frame. In a way, he almost resembled a quote-unquote cousin of Kendall, Damien. Light skin, buzzcut hair, Tristian had it all and Kendall’s attention.

Amen, The group said.

Kendall snapped back into reality and cleared his throat, Yeah, amen.

Late, Tiffany teased as she tickled Kendall from behind.

Kendall laughed as he tickled Tiffany back. Tiffany was Tristian’s twin, the one everybody assumed Kendall wanted. Though he did not desire Tiffany in the way he lusted after her brother, Kendall appreciated their friendship. Since as far back as he could remember, he was close friends with the set of twins.
