He lives in Portland, Maine in the US and as well as creating Big Nate comic strips and books, he hosts a local radio show.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a great and funny book. Nate's humor and romantic side are appreciated by readers. They enjoy the series and are excited for more books. It is a good job by the author and they recommend more books from Lincoln Pierce.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5As these are all starting to blend together in their mediocrity, I'll just affix a conversation I had with some students about Big Nate: One of my students caught me reading this and they were SOOO excited to see a teacher reading the same stuff THEY read. So, I decided to take the opportunity to ask a few students why they enjoy Big Nate. I was met with blank stares. "Well...ummmm..." Me: If you don't like it, why do you read it?Her: Because it's fast. We get more points for more books, so we can get quick points. Her fellow students: *nods and murmurs of agreement*Ah. That makes so much sense.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love Big Nate books they are really the only books I can finish reading (minus books my Alen Gratz) I think you should write more Lincoln Pierce.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5ZOMG IT IS SO GOOD BOOK!!!! So Funny! Lmao. Lol. Rofl.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a graphic novel/comic book geared to middle grade students. Nate is in the 6th grade and he is that child that is always questioning, getting detentions and just a little obnoxious. There are stories that go on for several pages and some that are four panels short and sweet. This book takes us through Nate's everyday activities from school days, summer holidays and his interactions with both his friends and other adults in his life. I loved the story about the cheez doodles. One serving is 6.5 doodles and Nate just could not deal with that. His father is a healthy food advocate. We meet his dog who is afraid of squirrels, his friends and his family. His interactions with the brainy Gina, his interactions with the teachers and other staff at his school and his hilarious attempts at various sports will all give kids a laugh and they will be able to identify with the characters in this book. The cartoons are cute and colourful.
I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
