Fun Fearless Female: How to Live the Life You Want Instead of the Life You've Got
()
About this ebook
Through my experience as a women’s leader I have found that most women struggle with their value and identity. We work hard, juggle many things, and the more we do, the worse we seem to feel about ourselves. We tend to identify ourselves through our ‘stuff’, through the eyes of others, and by comparison. However, we want to have fun and want to see ourselves as courageous.
It begins with how we see ourselves through God’s eyes, and then how we can take that belief and live it ‘out loud’ in our life. It truly can change the decisions we make, how we think about the events of our life, and ultimately will decide our happiness.
In this book I give women some tools to help them see that they have choices, help them identify those choices in their lives, and then begin making changes day by day. All women already have everything they need inside; they may just need some keys on how to get there. My book will open new waves of thinking and give them step by step examples of ‘how’ to change their thinking, their choices, and change their lives so they can have the life they want instead of the life they've got.

FUN FEARLESS FEMALE
How to Live the Life You Want Instead of the Life You’ve Got
INTRODUCTION
Do you light up a room when you walk in, or have you always wanted to? You’ve seen her. You know the woman I’m talking about. She acts as if she has no cares in the world. She is that feminine woman who looks put-together, self-assured and confident.
On the other hand, maybe you often feel a little insecure, or shy, or awkward? Perhaps you wish you could be like her and command the room.
I have great news for you! You can! You already have everything you need. You just may not realize it. You can be fun and fearless, walk in confidence, be fully female, and light up a room.
This book is for all of you females who have ever felt like you were on the outside looking in. It’s for those of you who always, or often, have felt less than. It’s also for you ladies who don’t feel feminine and don’t even like the word! You may have grown up with brothers. Maybe your Dad always told you he wanted a boy, and you’ve tried to live up to it. It is for all women who feel they need a little help being a little more fun, fearless, or feminine. If you’re like me you may find that it fluctuates. Sometimes I feel strong and fearless, and other times, not so much. Often I feel fun but not always. I think the key lies in being open, vulnerable, and being aware of what is happening in our lives when it is happening, and looking at our choices.
A few years ago, our family went through … an interesting time, (for lack of a better word). We had huge financial crises, an intervention for our daughter, and had to close our company, all in an eighteen month to two-year time frame. We had a lot of difficult decisions to make. Believe me when this was all going down, there were times when fear tried to pull us down, fear of the unknown, fear of what’s ahead, fear of can we make it and, it wasn’t something I’d call fun!
It’s what we do in those times and the choices we make. Are we going to stay in the muck or climb out? I don’t think we ever see the end of the rainbow, but we can move ahead one step at a time. We chose faith. Our faith in who God is and in who He created us to be, brought us out of that crises. In this book I’ll be sharing some of the lessons learned during that time. You truly can walk through the fire and not get burned, you can choose not to live in the crises, but still have peace and joy, and you can walk in confidence.
This book is for you. You can use it however you want. On the days when you are feeling scared or afraid, go and read the Being Fearless chapters, or if you are feeling bored and stuck, check out the Fun chapters. There are questions and fill in the blanks, use them as you wish. For me I find my mind will focus better if I write things down. Again, this is for you; read it all at once, or chapter by chapter, use it as a workbook, share it … whatever feels right to you! Also, as an aside, I use the words, female, woman, lady, gal, interchangeably, as we often are called and call ourselves by most of the above.
God has so much in store for you! No matter where you are on your journey, you can hold your head up and walk in confidence, you can face the fears that hold you back, you can smile, have fun along the way and enjoy your journey.
Step out today and just take one small step toward your passion. The time is now. Step into your greatness to become the woman God created you to be. It’s not doing more, it’s about being and letting yourself shine. You already have everything you need! Enjoy being the Fun Fearless Female that you are!
Chapter 1 THERE IS MORE TO YOU THAN MEETS THE EYE
Being a Fun Fearless Female is not about beauty, being tall, skinny, a model, rich, or perfect. WHEW! What a relief! It’s not about having all the advantages, being lucky, or being at the right place at the right time. Instead, it is being; being the woman God created you to be. It’s all about confidence both in who you are and in whose
you are. It’s learning to make smart choices for you and what you want in life.
I grew up in a military household, in the Deep South, and was raised a Baptist. There are a lot of good things about that, but there are also some drawbacks. I can still hear my Mother’s words, Pretty is as pretty does,
or my parents, Speak only when you are spoken to,
Don’t show off
and Keep quiet.
Sound familiar? In church the talk was always about giving the glory to God and not bringing attention to you. There were more Do Not’s than Dos. Rule. Rules. Rules.
It was years before I realized I had a voice, much less a choice in my life. In this framework it was a little difficult to shine, to share my gifts, or to become confident. For years I held back and stayed more in the shadows. For those who know me now, that may be hard to imagine. I played the game, tried to please others, and tried to be what I thought they wanted me to be. Have you ever felt that way? Most of us have. Truthfully, I’m still working on it.
Like you, my journey has been full of ups and downs, bumps in the road, and there have been many lessons. God has been teaching and showing me His ways. I don’t have all the answers but I have found some keys that work for me and maybe they can help you.
Let’s talk about You
What you believe, and what you choose now is your path and your future. You are an amazing, powerful, unique female. Let's embrace our womanhood, being fully female, and become who we are meant to be and offer what we were born to offer. As women, what we bring to the table, so to speak, and the role that is ours to play in the world is crucial. The role we have in the kingdom of God, in the lives of men, women and children, is of immeasurable worth and power. We are called, worthy, powerful, and needed.
Since love grows within you, so beauty grows.
For love is the beauty of the soul. St Augustine
To become who you are meant to be, to live out your best you, starts with believing and loving yourself. The Bible says, Love your neighbor as yourself. To love others means loving yourself. It may even begin with liking yourself.
What Does the Bible say about you?
Here are two of my favorites. They show that we are not random, not an accident, or just here to exist.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart Jeremiah 1:5
Whoo Hoo! Isn’t that great. The God of the universe formed you, has plans for you and has set you apart. YOU!
So the question is, do you believe you are special?
All of us can make a list of the not so good stuff. Instead, let’s make a list of the good. What are a few of your good qualities, both character and physical traits? (i.e. pretty eyes, kind, loving, great legs).
God wants you to love and enjoy everything about yourself right now. Accept yourself. God does and He not only accepts us, He embraces us! Don’t keep waiting until you’re perfect, that just isn’t going
