    Matt's heart beat nervously. There wasn't going to be any more chances. This was it and he knew it.

    He had already screwed up everything in his career. He'd lost his big paying job as a corporate attorney because he couldn't stand the hours and the pretentious bastards he worked with. But then the private practice he started was a worse disaster.

    He found  real out quick running his own shop was all about sales and marketing. Two things he didn't know anything about. The agony and stress of seeing his money fly out the door and his relationships suffer, drove him to the meeting in the downtown San Antonio office building.

    He wasn't begging for the job, but if he didn't get it, he wasn't sure how he'd pay rent in a couple days.

    How in the hell did he fall that far? He was a lawyer and a good looking young guy. People liked him too. But something inside him wouldn't let him play the corporate game by the corporate rules. There was a rebel inside Matt Anderson. It was the side no one understood. It was the side that had driven him into the financial and personal mess he was in.

    I know you can do this buddy, Brad said. You're a good lawyer and everyone thinks very highly of you.

    Matt had worked with Brad at his first job. Brad wasn't the type of guy to lecture or even make someone feel uncomfortable in any way. But it was obvious from the situation. Matt was desperate and Brad held all the cards.
