About this ebook
A young couple turns their backyard into a dumpsite, they dig a hole in their compound upon which they dump both organic and inorganic waste, "we are many kilometers away from the city so we don’t have to pay for expensive truck lifting," they say unto one another, they come here on a weekly basis to perform their routine dumping, then proceeded to set the litter on fire, with time, the dumpsite grew larger, bigger than the size of their house, the rains that fell heavily on it made the garbage dump and became a breeding ground for all kinds of worms, stench from the decay of organic matter was also very strong, the winds blew it in from the back, staying in the house was unbearable, then came a time and season when the blue and green flies went to visit the family's dining room, they found them enjoying a worm meal of pork and oats and demanded their share of the food, they made sure they had fully dipped their three pairs of legs into the soup and rolled their bodies onto the crumbs, soon the family becomes ill from unknown disease, one child's situation was so critical that he had to be hospitalized. When a pediatrician visited their home to assess the situation, at the very first sight of the house compound, he knew what was amiss, he then turned to the owners and said this to them, "you have got to sweep thy planet."

Let me tell you a story, it goes like this..."Once upon a time there lived a rat and a cat, they were very good friends, they lived happily in their wooden shack, they shared everything between themselves, when one of them got some food, he would share it with the other. One day the rat did something very bad, he annoyed the cat who then out of rage slapped him very hard, the rat was seriously injured by the blow and then died. That’s the end of my story..."Yarn spinning is a skill that is deeply ingrained in our blood, we are descended from a long line of great story tellers, there is no story we don’t know how to tell, we always find time to amaze our audiences with great tales, both the contemporary and the legends of the old...My old time friends Jiji and Kaki are the two fellows that have greatly influenced my writing and life at large, when you hear them speak you are led to think they know everything, Jiji was very good at debates, I don’t remember a single day when he lost a contest. Kaki on the other hand was a great story teller, I don’t know where he got his stories from, we simply enjoyed them, we never cared about his sources either, he had lots of them too. One thing I loved about this little fellow was that I never got bored around him. He would flood your ears with thousands of stories at a time and there is no single moment when he will tell you the same story twice. Jiji was somehow a fanatic. When there is a discussion then individuals get stuck at a point where nobody has any further information, all are ignorant, that’s when he jumps onto the dance floor, claiming he knows it all, I have never met anyone who loved arguments more than Jiji, even a simple discussion he would turn it into an argument. He had a strange way of convincing people to believe his claims, even though you had with you solid facts that proved him otherwise, you still couldn’t beat him...

Sweep Thy Planet - Dode Sescri
Contention.
Man still continues to defile the earth, his children defecate on the lakeside and spray urine into the rivers, the birds and amphibians get out of the waters coughing and sneezing painfully, they are tired of this stench.
Mother Nature groans in agony since her lungs are filled with toxic black smoke that goes up from the chimneys, day in day out.
Rubbish-1-ugly face
‘’Planet earth has an ugly face,’’ says the moon, ‘’you once mocked me saying that I am an old peasant with a long chin and faces filled with so many holes, so many pimples, now it will be my turn to mock you instead, to laugh at you, man has drilled many large holes onto your face, big enough to swallow entire cities, your face has turned so rough, rougher than the back of a tortoise(tortoise shell), in an endless desire to get more precious stones, they drill deeper and deeper into the depths of the crust till rocks cave in on them burying them alive, but they won't stop as long there is still a small breath of air left in them, they dig and dig until when they are completely passed out.
My misfortune I did not cause, it just found me when I was sitting in my comfort zone, when suddenly stars came out of the heavens and smashed onto my face, leaving me with dark plumage and also taking away my bright halo, now if I may ask you earth, why are you still allowing man to cause you more harm? he finds pleasure in inflicting you with pain and robbing you of your natural treasures.’’
Those grave diggers, they extracted precious metals such as gold, silver and precious stones like jasper, rubies, diamonds, etc. leaving behind a vast ugly face on the land dangerous for everyone nearby.
Rubbish-2-Smoking Planet.
Industrialisation seems to be the only hope of achieving a quick economic success, a time is soon coming when every nation on earth shall be highly industrialised. Factory floors stretching miles upon miles, every adult human shall own an automobile.
It is the life, the good life you know? When authorities shall encourage public transport and discourage use of private cars, such that acquiring an automobile would be so expensive, getting one would cost you an arm and a leg. All that for the mere aim of improving the economy.
What would the world look like when everyone owns an automobile? One hundred trillion people, each one with a car of his/her own, all running on diesel engines, another one for the baby kid too, every school going child with a scooter. The whole world is going to be industrialized, toxic black smoke will ascend from every corner of the hemisphere daily.
I now understand what development is all about, it's exclusively about destroying the planet, grab as much you can, tear away as far as you can go but never mind what's happening with the results for there shall be no consequences to your actions.
Humans don’t know they are cooking themselves in an oven, they wanted to warm themselves in the cold weather, then went into a large cylindrical casing and lit some fire right underneath them, for they wanted to be inside something that was tightly enclosed so that no shred of heat would escape.
They lit a fire underneath and added firewood to warm themselves, they looked around once again, and when they thought there wasn’t enough fuel for the flames, they added more firewood, when the room temperature got warmer and warmer, they asked themselves what's happening? Then they added some more firewood. This is how humanity is slowly cooking itself to death, they are like that foolish frog who slowly boiled inside a pot
