About this ebook

Unlock the more straightforward side of The Leopard with this concise and insightful summary and analysis!
This engaging summary presents an analysis of The Leopard by Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa, the story of a failing aristocratic family in Sicily following the start of the unification of Italy, as they come to terms with changes in their social circles, relationships and the political landscape, as well as their own loss of power and relevance. Although not initially popular with a wide readership, the work won a prestigious Italian literary prize shortly after its publication and has been adapted into an award-winning film. Tomasi, who wrote many literary essays and short stories but no other novels, echoes his own concerns about the decline of his aristocratic family origins in this entertaining and powerful work.
