About this ebook

Oh these little muthafuckas want war? Well they just fuckin’ got it!!!” screamed an infuriated Tommy Gunns. “Call Ty & Peoples right now!” Tommy said to Officer Jenkins, still ranting. When Jenkins didn’t respond, he looked over to see him clutching the side of his throat and gasping for air. “Oh shit! Hold on partner, I’mma get you to Henry Ford!” Tommy Gunns made a sharp left at Trumbull and sped toward West Grand Blvd. where Henry Ford hospital was located. “Stay wit’ me man!” screamed Tommy Gunns as he noticed Jenkins slipping in and out of consciousness. “Those muthafuckas!” yelled Tommy Gunns as he banged his hand on the steering wheel. “I’mma get all those muthafuckas! Come on Jenkins! Stay wit’ me man!”

Dere dey go turning up Poe, said Ice C. as they continued running up Sterling toward West Grand Blvd. Sterling turned into Poe Street, once you crossed West Grand Blvd. It lead to the emergency room entrance on the west wing of Henry Ford hospital. As Tommy Gunns ran in to get a doctor, K. C., Ice C., Big G., & Lil Larry ran around the iron gate that lead up to the emergency room. Then they spread out on either side of the parking lot. Just as Tommy Gunns came back out, he was met with another hail of bullets. The medical staff ducked back inside of the hospital as bullets whizzed past their heads. Tommy Gunns & Jenkins wasn’t as fortunate. Jenkins was struck twice in the back of the head. Tommy was hit in his lower abdomen, in the leg, his left shoulder, and  in the corner of his forehead; which appeared to be the fatal shot. Without even waiting to see his body drop, K.C., Big G., Ice C., & Lil Larry took off back across West Grand Blvd. as the staff and onlookers began to ease outside…

    Chapter One

This book is dedicated to the 2 most influential women in my life:

    Elissa Parker  (9/18/1954 - 9/6/2009)

    &

    Charlene Parker  (3/25/1931 - 1/7/1988)

    Ma & Grandma…

I thank GOD for the time HE allowed you both to be in my life. Without your love, guidance, & prayers; I don’t know where I would be. As I take the reins in my attempt to be everything for my children & grandchildren (in 15 years lol) that you both were for me; I pray that, as you continually watch over me, I make you both proud. I love yall forever…

    The  Visit

    May 14, 1992

Stay to the right and empty everything out of your pockets, said the huge Caucasian corrections officer. Yeah, yeah I know the drill, replied Andre, a 5’7, stocky, caramel, 17 year old with French braids & a newly forming goatee. He had been coming here to visit his father since he was 13.

As Andre entered the visiting room, he saw his friend Romeo, a 6’2 light complected brotha, with a low fade, talking to his dad. Romeo was the nephew of his father’s best friend.

    What’s up Teezy? said Romeo.

Teezy was Andre’s nickname. His father gave it to him as an infant.

Sup Ro? What’s good wit’ you? said Teezy as they lightly tapped each other’s fist, or traded dap, as it was referred to on their block.

Just chillin’ wit’ Big Unc, said Romeo.

What’s up Dad? How you doin? said Teezy turning his attention to his Andre Sr., an older spitting image of him, (or Big Dre, as he was referred to on the block).

I’m good, but look, let me get straight to the point. I made an arrangement for you guys, he said as he nodded his head motioning for Teezy and Romeo to follow his eyes.

When you leave, give the officer a play, take what he gives you, and keep it moving. Wait until you get back to the block and check it out.  He then focused his attention on Romeo.

When your father and uncle died in that shootout with Peter Gunns, I was sent up here for 40 years without the possibility of parole. But we had made a pack; that if anything ever happened to one of us that we would take care of each other’s family.  Well... he continued, I can’t fulfill my promise from in here. So I think that this is the next best thing. Remember, never let anyone separate you ‘because you’re family, & Teezy...

    Yeah dad, said Teezy.

Since I won’t see you next weekend, happy 18th birthday.

He paused briefly to let his words sink in.

So how’s Dirty? asked Big Dre; as they carried on with regular conversation for the remainder of their visit...

As Teezy & Romeo drove home, although they were in separate cars,

they were relatively quiet. No music, just the sound of the tires against the road. Now Romeo was

thinking, Hell yeah Big Dre! It’s about time a nigga start seein’ some real doe. But Teezy, on the other hand, was not so pleased; "How can he drop something like this on my shoulders? He ain’t even ask if I

planned on going to college this fall." Even though he had no intention of doing so, just the seriousness

in his father’s voice let him know that whatever they had was life changing; and that had him nervous to

the sweating point. But Teezy knew everything there was to know about the game, he just hadn’t

realized it yet. But before Big Dre was locked up, almost everywhere he went, he took Teezy with him.

By the time Teezy was 10, he knew how to cook cocaine, mix heroin, plant, flower, dry out, cure, and

pack up marijuana. He knew how to break down, clean, and shoot guns; the different types of bullets,

and what they did on impact. Big Dre planned on bringing Teezy into the family business at 16, but

since his incarceration, he thought better of it. Well... thought Teezy to himself as he parked, "here

    goes nothing!"

    Chapter 2

    The  Letter

Romeo jumped outta the car anxious to find out what was in Teezy’s hand.

    Teezy, however, was calm telling Romeo;

Just chill dog, cause we don’t know what’s what just yet.

Whatever dog, come on wit’ da come on homie! replied Romeo.

Man you so worried about if it’s some bread or not that you ain’t even noticed the moving van in the driveway across the street,  said Teezy.

    That caught Romeo’s attention!

    A Count, yelled Teezy.

Count was Teezy’s younger cousin by 2 years. He was also a caramel brown, short, & stocky but he had a small curly afro because he was attempting to grow braids as well.

Sup Cous? asked Count as he walked up, How’s Big Dre?

He Cool as can be expected under the circumstances. Teezy replied, but um... what’s up on that moving van across the street?

I don’t really know, said Count; but it’s 4 fine ass honeys takin’ stuff off the truck, & 2 of ‘em twins!

    How many guys? asked Teezy.

That’s the thang, said Count, "I ain’t seen none. I mean they movin’ stoves and

everythang by they self. You know He-Man status."

Ughn, said Teezy, well keep an eye on ‘em for a few days.

Alright, said Count, I’mma go over here and shoot a couple baskets so I can get a better view.

Cool, said Teezy I’mma be right here kickin’ it wit’ Ro. Let me know when Dirty gets here.

Alright, said Count as he walked away.

    Now Emmanuel, or Dirty Red as he was called by their grandfather, was Teezy’s younger brother by 2 years. He and Corey (Count) were the same age. Dirty was lighter complected & slim, he took after their mother’s side of the family. As Teezy and Count were talking, Romeo noticed the new neighbors and was debating on going to borrow some brown sugar. Teezy, sensing Romeo’s next move, interrupted his train of thought saying;

Dog, it’s a time and a place for everything. But right now we got bigger fish to fry.

Alright, so what did he give you? asked Romeo.

A letter, and we ‘bout to read it, so sit yo’ horny ass down, said  Teezy as they both began to laugh...

    My Dearest Son & Nephew,

I know about everything that’s been goin’ down on the block since I’ve

been in here. But the truth is... I’m tired of trying to control what goes on out there from in here. So, I’m

giving it all to you two to do as you please. There’s 6 people left, and their debt me, & now you, equals

out to about 800 G’s. What I need you guys to understand is that some of these cats won’t willingly

pay their debts, don’t sweat it right now, there will come a time to deal with them. Right now, I want

yall to focus on the trunk buried in your Uncle Pee Wee’s backyard. Go see him, and any questions

you have he can answer. Remember, take care of each other at all costs. Think BEFORE you move, and

by all means, have fun.  Also, don’t ever, and I mean EVER!!!, let a woman come between you. If you

start to feel pressured or stressed, look to your uncle for guidance. Trust me, he knows what time it is.

Be smart, be safe, and last but not least... WATCH THE COPS, cause they will be WATCHING YOU!!!

    Family Love
