Preface

Stairway to Heaven was inspired by my journey of healing from the tragic loss of my husband and soulmate. My loss was so profound and deep, my life would forever be changed. I needed to heal to survive but what happened was that I ascended in a physical body while my husband had ascended to heaven. There were many factors that allowed this ascension, but while I was healing, I realized that the ultimate healing is to create heaven on Earth.

Each step I took to heal from the bottom of the deep, dark pit I had fallen into was a step on the stairway. From Reiki to Angel Guidance, everything I did in faith to heal was a journey of self-love and healing my soul. I want to share the knowledge I gained to help others take the first step, or many, to heal their lives.

Stairway to Heaven is my first ‘How To’ book, after writing my two memoirs, Miracles of Love, Faith and Hope and Beloved, I Can Show You Heaven. Both of these books delved into my tragic life stories and helped me heal my wounds. Writing these books was essential for my healing. In the process of the healing, I began to recognize that my soul was evolving. I was not a victim to my unfortunate life circumstances but rather I was doing exactly the job I was born to do as set out in my Divine Soul Contract.

This book, Stairway to Heaven is intended to teach others how to heal and ascend. Ascension simply means to go up and rise. I chose the name Stairway to Heaven for that reason. Although life on Earth is usually far from heavenly, we should strive within our power to make the absolute best of this life and bring a little heaven to Earth. This is an ancient concept and the foundation of the Christian values I was born and raised with. Even the Lord’s Prayer states simply, On Earth as it is in Heaven, yet this simple concept eludes many of us in our daily struggle of living and survival.

Even if you do not believe in a heaven or an afterlife, it would be difficult to reason that we should not make improvements within ourselves for the betterment of our world. It’s really tough for people to make a truly positive impact on our world without being truly remarkable on the inside. Think of leaders of influence in the world such as Nelson Mandela, Abraham Lincoln, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Barrack Obama, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, Oprah Winfrey, Buddha, and Rosa Parks, just to name a few. I am sure anyone would agree that these people had it together on the inside and it shined through in their actions. Their hearts were pure and their conviction unshakable. You might even say that their influence brought a little heaven to Earth.

Now imagine a world where everyone was like that. That thing that’s hard so describe, that vibe you get when you reflect on their personality. No, you may not love, or even like some of them, but that thing I am describing, is that these people, and many more like them have high frequency spirits.

Each day that I turn on the news, I think to myself, How come so many people don’t get it? How can so many people be in conflict? Why can’t a majority people find solutions instead of creating more problems? Of course, I remind myself that so many people come from such a different environment than what we enjoy in the Western World, but still, my beliefs tell me that this not a good reason because all of us are eternal beings and a spark of the divine, so why is it not different?

So many of us believe only what we can experience with our senses: what we can see, touch, and hear. I like to call this Third Dimensional Consciousness; when we are only aware of what our senses tell us. We rely on science and what scientists tell us about the things that we can’t see or understand. We often do not operate on faith and if something is beyond our grasp, we tend to dismiss it, labelling those who believe in a higher power to be dreamers, or worse, fools. That is an egocentric viewpoint because the word ego means from the self, and if the self cannot understand or trust the universe, we are relying on our own sense of survival to make sense of the world.

It’s not our job to understand everything within your life as a physical being. That is why every person was born with a little seed of faith. Now you can water that seed and let it grow, or you can allow it to sit in dry soil and nothing will become of it. A seed that is not watered grows no roots; one that is watered expands and connects to everything in the earth as its life force. Like a tree whose roots are firmly anchored in the ground, it ascends higher and grows into the sky.

Now I want to tell you about Unity Consciousness and I don’t want to overwhelm my readers with abstract concepts. Unity Consciousness is simply the awareness that we are all one. That’s it. So imagine if each person on Earth was aware of this one thing all the time…do you think that the world would be as it is now?

I also want to bring you back to the self, not the ego self either. So what if every person on Earth was like those special people described above, those leaders with the higher vibration spirits? That would be pretty cool, wouldn’t it? You might even say that Earth would be heavenly.

Now you’re probably saying a world full of leaders, means none of us are truly leaders, or the things that these things that leaders accomplished are not ordinary, they are extraordinary. True, but what if each one of us had what those people have had on the inside – a high vibration spirit?

What if you took the steps to raise your vibration of your spirit or soul? After all, you can heal yourself, and each one of us, whether we like it or not, is only responsible for ourselves. Each one of us is born into this world at a unique time and place and we all leave this world at a unique time and place. What we do from birth to death is up to each one of us, no matter what happens to us.

Imagine looking at the souls of seven billion people on the planet, and most of these souls are grey, but some souls are all different colours of the rainbow. Most children have souls that are a clear white light, but that light fades as they get older. Now imagine everybody on earth doing inner work and healing. As this happens, their soul gets their light back; some white, some blue, some green, some yellow, orange, pink or purple or beautiful rainbow combinations of each. Now, look at the seven billion souls: I see something beautiful and I hope you can too.

I believe that when one person heals and brings awareness to any painful issue, it makes healing easier for others. Through my own experience of loss from suicide, I was once told in a very dark hour by a very spiritual person that as issues are brought to the light, it eradicates the darkness. With that I set my intention to eradicate death by suicide by very unconventional means. I felt that if everyone recognized the light within themselves, they could connect to others, rather than separating themselves and feeling miserable. This does mean expanding your vulnerability, rather than being proud and guarded, but the way I perceive it is life is short for all of us, so why not take the risks to make it worthwhile. After all, you signed up to come here, so why back out? I will explain more about this in Chapter One – Take the First Step.

We can use unfortunate life occurrences and use those experiences associated with them to ascend and evolve our soul. In other words, life challenges provide an opportunity to walk up The Stairway to Heaven. Those obstacles were not put there to set you back down The Stairway. Whether it is an addiction, a death, an illness, or poverty, we can use these experiences to advance on The Stairway because when we heal ourselves, it increases the vibration frequency of our soul and we Ascend!

I hope that this book provides clarity for those that are at the beginning of their Journey to Healing. For those souls who have begun to contemplate the meaning of life, or who have mastered spiritual knowledge and wisdom in their years and beyond, I hope that you find a unique compilation of knowledge that provides another perspective to enlightenment. I choose the name of this book because I believe we are supposed to create a better world now. The question is ‘How do we get there?’

Because our souls return to heaven when we die, the heaven we enter is based on the lives we live before our physical death. Each one of us has an important and unique life mission, and our afterlife is as unique as the lives we live incarnated in a body. Many of us stray far off our life path and purpose and life becomes a winding road. But when we enter a life of higher consciousness, we take the first step on the stairway. It is at this time, we begin to ascend our souls, fulfilling our soul contract and our life purpose.

One of my favourite Led Zeppelin songs since I was a child was Stairway to Heaven. This song became more significant to me just before and after my husband’s death. When I heard it on the radio before my husband’s death, I believed that my late son, Joseph was communicating with me from the other side. I told my husband that the song has great significance and in some funny way, I am the "lady who believes that everything still turns to gold, and I do believe that "all is one and one is all." After my husband’s death, he also seemed to communicate through this song on the radio to me. To me, it was a song of hope and inspiration, as my husband had ascended into heaven, and is surrounded in the golden light.

This book is also named Stairway to Heaven because I believe it is crucial that humanity begins to heal from the wounds and atrocities of the past. To do so, we must be in the moment, and begin taking steps every moment and each day to create heaven on Earth. We must be conscious creators, ascending the energy and vibration of the planet. Instead many of us are the walking wounded, accepting beliefs that no longer serve us. We cannot just get by being merely survivors.

Our planet is in the eleventh hour of its creation. Technological innovation is surpassing our consciousness and as a society emerging out of a technological revolution, we are at a time in our history where we must decide our own destiny. We must learn from history and not be bound by it. We must look to the future and not fear it, and we must live in the present with the awareness that it is what we are thinking, doing and being NOW, that truly matters. For it is this moment of now that we create with intention. It is now that we create the future of heaven on Earth.

Introduction

Congratulations! Reading this book is a sign that you have taken an important step, or many on your spiritual journey. Your spiritual journey began millennia ago and continues infinitely. We are all on the journey together, whether we are in an earthly body, in spirit or perhaps living in some unknown place in the universe.

So here you are now, reading this book in this moment. Your soul has brought you here. Each one of us has a story, but more importantly, each one of us has a soul; the essence of who you are. Each one of us was born and each one of us will die. In comparison to our soul life, the time we spend in an earthly body, even for those who live to be one hundred, is extremely short.

Whether we are here on this planet for one hundred years or just a few months in our mother’s womb, we are here on this planet to do the work of the soul. What is the work of the soul? To EVOLVE.

Nothing in life is constant, not even our DNA or our genes. Science used to believe we are purely a product of our environment, of nature and nurture. What science and quantum physics is now realizing is that we are truly creators of our life. We can change reality with our thoughts and of course, our actions.

But this goes beyond our short time on Earth. Each of us being an infinite soul incarnated into our physical body with a plan, a soul contract, for this lifetime. You are here to accomplish many things, and it has nothing to do with the car you drive or how much money is in your bank account.

Most of us are born with no memory of heaven and where we were before we were born. Because Earth is a kind of a school for the soul, knowing everything would be like taking a test we did not study for with all of the answers from the teacher in front of us. Now, I don’t want you to think that if we are students, that God is some kind of strict teacher out to test us. Not at all, we choose, as souls, our own experiences. Think of it like a PhD Thesis, when you get to that level of learning, your Professor does not choose what and how you study. They merely guide you to find your own truth in what you are studying or researching.

Many children at this time in history do have memories of heaven. They also have memories of their soul contracts. This is especially true of the new generation of Indigo, Rainbow and Crystal children being born in recent years. It is also especially true of children who
