Cruel World
Out here, it’s a cruel world.
I suggest you keep your head
up and walk straight.
Nobody is going to care about
what you’re going through.
Nobody is going to care
about what you want.
This is a cruel world.
I suggest you go about your business
and not worry about what everyone
else is doing.
They’re not that important.
People are dying every day.
There’s hunger.
There’s suffering.
It’s a cruel world.
You Only
Whenever I see you in the hallway,
you know what it is.
The way you walk, the
way you wear your hair.
The way you smile.
You enjoy being a tease, don’t you?
I know you do, always teasing me.
The way you cut your eyes
at me makes me light up.
Even if I’m feeling shitty,
your aura pierces through my ruggedness.
Not too many people can do that for me.
I’m too late.
I figured that getting the letter to
you would pay off, but it
did nothing but sink my
heart further into this abyss you call misery.
I’m trying to find someone
else who can bring me
that same feeling, but…
it’s just not there.
Despite that, I keep trying.
I know it’ll pay off.
So will all the work that I’m putting in
Once I hit the precipice of my career known
as my big break, only then you’ll
realize how sincere I truly could’ve been to you.
Even then, I’ll still care about you—
although I may act like I won’t.
I will still care.
Always.
I Feel Like…
Nigga, I’m fucking pissed.
I don’t give a fuck.
Shit in life is really getting to me.
I got so much aggression at hand,
I don’t know what the fuck to do with it.
All this fucking schoolwork piling up!
All the people who want to say
unnecessary shit about a nigga!
That’s why
I Feel Like…
This!
POWER
Inspired by Kanye West
Time winds down.
I get wiser.
I become older, stronger.
Do you know of a man who
could have had so much power
doing what he loves?
That man is me.
Despite the challenges, I continue
to follow my dreams and grind
like no one’s business.
It’s nobody’s business to know bout’
my moves until they’re made.
The universe will find any way to
put an obstacle in front of you.
Keep pushing and never quit.
They want you to quit.
You can’t give these bastards
the power they’re solely requesting.
Even if school doesn’t
work out, pursue your passion
It’s not about luck
The guys you see without the
diplomas actually followed their dreams
now they’re as rich as can be.
Someone told me that Jay Z
