About this ebook
Welcoming your baby to the world is a joyous occasion, and what better way to do so than by giving baby the best start in life by breastfeeding? This little book aims to expel common breastfeeding concerns that arise in those first few weeks by showing you step-by-step how to approach the issue and giving you time-tested solutions. Written by Dr Diana Tahir, a WHO-certified breastfeeding advisor and a mother of three including one cleft lip child for whom she had to exclusively pump for, and a three-year-old and a newborn who tandem-fed. She shares her solutions that have worked on herself and in her experience with mothers in the postnatal wards and clinics.
Diana Tahir
Dr Diana Tahir is a passionate breastfeeding advocate. She is in her fourth year of training to become a paediatrician and encounters many breastfeeding concerns on the job. Being a working mother of three, she had to pump through 28-hour shifts for all of her children and successfully tandem-fed her second and third children (now five and two - the youngest still breastfeeding). She also had to exclusively pump for her first child who had a cleft lip and palate. Breastfeeding may seem like hard work, but it is the best kind of hard work and completely worthwhile!
