    TODAY’S LESSON

    Have you ever been a leader before? It can be intimidating to be asked to be a leader or to volunteer to be a leader. Sometimes, God calls us to be leaders in situations where we are not comfortable. How do we respond to doing what God asks? In today’s lesson, we learn about how God called Moses to be the leader of the Israelites. When God called Moses to be their leader, they were still enslaved by the Egyptian people. They had been in captivity for almost four hundred years! The people were tired of being persecuted, and they had cried out to God. He heard their cries and came to deliver them out of captivity. He knew He had given Moses the ability to be a leader, even though Moses did not yet believe that he could lead God’s chosen ones.
