    Foreword

Noliyanda Pike (Noli) and I grew up in a home where our parents taught us to pray. We had a big family, five sisters and one brother. Every night before bed time, we would gather as a family to read a passage from the Bible. Each of us would get a chance to pray.

Although our parents and brother are no longer with us, we have continued with this discipline in our own homes.

As a young girl, Noli was very quiet and hardly said negative things to others. As a result she was nicknamed Lady because of doing good and saying good things, which she has kept up to this day.

She has always lived a lifestyle of willingness to support and help others in their endeavours and at their point of need. This has made her to get along with people at ease.

She interacts easily with young and old people and has a generous heart.

I believe her salvation has awoken the lioness within her as she serves and loves with greater intensity.

    Preface

My journey of life has made me to discover and re-discover myself all over. I have gained experiences that I believe have contributed in shaping the person in me. God the Creator, the Maker and Manufacturer of you and me, surely had the best intentions in His heart for all that His hands produced. I recall what He said to Joshua, which I believe He said it to you and me as well. Joshua 1:8. Circumstances pushed me to go on a shopping spree of finding more about me. Of all the places I have been, there is one place that helped me in this discovery, the ‘Word of God’.

As a result, this book was birthed in the auditorium of our Headquarters in a Shiloh gathering of 2012. It was on the 8th of December 2012, when God’s servant Bishop David Oyedepo was ministering on One Time Sacrifice I wish you could get yourself that DVD. When he said, Tie your sacrifice to something that you believe God will do for you, give what you know will cost you, not something that you know it is not your measure nor what you cannot buy cool drink with.

This statement can only be known and understood by those who know what God packaged in it. A baby Christian will need to be taken through this level of dimension in sacrificing. I remember him saying, If you are my son or my daughter, show proofs, you cannot follow a giant and be a dwarf. That sentence changed my entire being, I sobbed in tears. I looked at my hands what I was about to give, and it was definitely not my measure of giving at all.

I sat there, and took it back to my purse. I said, Lord, today you have ripped me apart, what you said through your servant I wholeheartedly agree. You have never challenged me like this. I sat there crying as the ministration was going on thinking what can I give unto God that can please Him and move His heart. I remembered my life decade by decade and the love He showed me all the years. I wiped my tears and said to Him, I vow to write and tell people about my relationship with you.

With a heartfelt gratitude, I give back love and honour to the Lord, for His grace and glory made known unto me which turned me to seeking after His knowledge and understanding. Opening up to You Lord has brought gain into my life. Mama Rachel Malatsi, you played your role as sent by God in my life, and I treasure every step of your mentoring. Who would not want to have a spiritual mother like you? To God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, joining this Commission has made my life to be sweeter. My eyes were opened to see and ears opened to hear more than I could imagine.

I am glad to have known Winners Family under the 1st Resident Pastor of Cape Town, Ps. Prince Mathebula, a man that flows in meekness; I have never seen that kind of meekness before, a trainer and groundbreaker. His stability and peaceful character has grown me to another level. Thank You Jesus for the opportunity of rubbing in that anointing. You do not cease to amaze me Lord. After him, You brought me Pastor Obiajulu Onyia the anointed high praiser. I had no choice but to change gear; and recognize that I have entered a new dimension of praising being established in me. Haleluyah!

To my prayer partners at Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, I thank you for the commitment of standing in the gap with me.

To my siblings (Winnie, Vuyiswa, Vuyelwa (Margaret) and Nonceba) you have been there decade by decade, your role in my life has been of great significance. Your love, support and encouragement has enabled me to stand all through the years. My appreciation to Thembisa Gxumisa that has been there helping me with the wellbeing of my children whilst seeking God’s face, waking up with me whenever she hears me pray.

To my lovely daughters (Thembisa and Thembela), thank you so much for the support, encouragement of this work from the day I told you, the laughs and the cries in between inclusive of milestones we faced till full production of the whole work.

Nangamso Njongi, Zina Soga and Gregory Olalekan; thank you for the creative work that you have put together on this production.

    God bless you!

    Introduction

It is very comforting and encouraging to live when you know you have an assurance about something or someone. As human beings we learn everyday; it does not matter how big or small you have learnt. What matters is what you do about what you have learnt. Learning produces continuous changes in one’s life. Willingness to be stretched beyond capacity pushes one to live in next levels and finding it at ease to achieve results. I can, therefore, say that growing is pertinent to every individual’s life.

Life is full of surprises and when you open yourself to it you live in constant amazement all the time. It teaches us to believe, and what you believe in is a choice that you make. Choices are therefore influenced by backgrounds, culture, history, you name it. My own life has been amazing to myself. I would at times pinch myself and checking if I am still who I think I am. Throughout the years, my listening skills have been polished because of background, being the last one of 5 girls in the family.

While I was still very young about 8 years old, Tata (my father) called me after the night prayer as I was the last to pray. He said to me, Learn to pray like Margaret (3rd sister), you must feel your prayer, be present in it, otherwise you will not get the results you hope for. She still enjoys praying till today, and prays fervent prayers. There were times we would be given slots to pray the whole 6 of us. I used to listen to all of them as I was the fifth one. My brother and I used to pinch each other while the queue is getting closer to us. The things I would pray about, I would keep on taking them off my prayer list as each would cover my items. By the time it was my turn, I would not know what to pray for anymore. As a result God used my sister (Margaret) to be instrumental in bringing salvation in our family.

There was a time in life that I had to acknowledge that my relationship with God was religious. I had to jump ship and hop on the wagon of spirituality. My religious foundation was shaken and I could not understand what was happening in my life. I had encounters, but there was no one to walk me in understanding of what I was going through. I was broken and God showed up and brought me salvation. I used to be one of those that used to say, What difference does it make, I go to church, so what’s new in Jesus?

I was completely unaware that there is a lot of difference. When Jesus found me, He humbled me big time. I sobbed in tears non-stop that day. The person that walked me from the altar did not know what to do. She thought I was hurting, and I was not. It was the beginning of a new journey with the Prince of Peace. I was filled with constant freshness, the Spirit of the Living God, and my tongue became subject to His control. I entered the school of spiritual growth and God kept on sending the ones that endured and persevered the testing times. When I had their testimonies, I had nothing to comment as I used to think that I knew. Their testimonies were very humbling and were driving me to seek more of God.

I used to follow everything that I see as good but learnt in this new life that one consults, enquires, engages and listens to what God says. The new foundation laid taught me of a walk with God; not to walk first then come back to God when things get sour, and still wants Him to make things right in wrong choices made.

My prayer for you as you read; "Let God open up your heart to His world for you, and
