ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I would like to thank my wife Reena Sebastian, for her relentless efforts to see this book going to print this year. My deep gratitude to my mentor, Apostle Lloyd Phillips, for reading the entire manuscript and for several suggested improvements and corrections: Vanessa Kharbudon for proof reading; Pooja Singh and Pastor Rahul Chauhan for helping me with the cover design; the intercessors for their prayer support; my children Arnold and Ruth for their constant support and participation in the ministry; and the numerous men and women of God for impacting my life with their godly lifestyles and teachings.
INTRODUCTION
In part-1 of What Next?
we discussed two foundation doctrines, repentance and faith. In addition to that, we talked about biblical conversion and freedom from our past.
In Part-2, we will examine repentance and faith a little more thoroughly, and then move on to few other foundation doctrines of the Bible. My goal is not to transfer information to the readers, but to provide them knowledge. In the Bible, knowledge is not same as information. One is said to have knowledge only when one has applied the information he or she has received, and experienced the results. I believe you will be blessed by this book.
CHAPTER ONE
LED BY THE SPIRIT
Holy Spirit who abides in us is interested in leading us. This must be a delightful news to anyone born into the family of God! This, indeed, is a privilege, and we must learn how the Holy Spirit leads us.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 KJV
When we are led by the Spirit, or when we walk by the Spirit, we are promoted to the level of sons. Aren’t we all sons of God by virtue of the new birth, you may ask. No, we are not! It is true that we become children of God when we accept Jesus as our Lord (see John 1:12). However, to become a son, or to be called a son, one needs to meet a certain criterion, that is, one needs to be led by the Spirit of God.
