Introduction

In dealing with demonic spirits by spiritual warfare, there are four vital levels each believer may have to encounter; although this depends on an individual’s circumstances and their past background. The knowledge of each of the level will equip a believer in planning an exact battle strategy to wage a spiritual warfare against the demons, whether it is you or your acquaintances that come under demonic attacks.

It is equally important that you know as a believer, that God himself had shown us the reality of demonic spirits in this world as outlined in the bible. A Christian should never be afraid to engage in battle and cast them out whenever the need arises. Biblically each believer has been forewarned never to be scared of demons and a Christian is to be battle ready under any conditions. For instance, I will point out eight verses in the Bible detailing and instructing every believer to engage the demonic spirits in spiritual battle.

(i.) "For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that He might   destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)

(ii) But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go,   preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' Heal the sick,   cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you   have   received,   freely give." (Matthew 10:6-8)

(iii) "And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them   power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all   kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease." (Matthew 10:1)

(iv) "And He called the twelve to Him, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits ... And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick,   and healed them." (Mark 6:7, 13)

(v) "Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent   them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick." (Luke 9:1)

(vi) "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and   scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by   any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

(vii)"Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee ... the Spirit   of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the   gospel to the poor, He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to   preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the   blind, to set at   liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the   acceptable year   of the Lord." (Luke 4:14-18)

(viii) And He said to them, "Go into the entire world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe. In my name they will cast out demons, they   will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents; and if they   drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay   hands on the sick and they will recover." (Mark 16:15-18)

The pages of Christian history are filled with Jesus commanding the disciples to go out and step out in His anointing. He reportedly told to drive out demons.
